When I say relative, it means that $2000 in taxes on someone making $20,000 a year is a significantly larger burden than $300,000 in taxes on someone making $1,000,000 a year. The balance being $18,000 and $700,000 respectively. It is much easier to live on $700,000 than $18,000 now isn't it? I would be glad to pay that much in taxes if I made that much money!!!!
