I have the same problem, but i think its all in good reason. i mean you take the class to learn ms stuff. i use prosper and gnumeric and abiword instead of the microsoft stuff. the only reason i am taking it is because it is required to graduate at the school i attend. But if you look in your class and ask yourself do the people in here care about linux besides me youll realize that no one but the geek at computer 7 gives a flying rats ass about what computer os you run so windows is just fine, plus everyone who takes that class propbably has some prior windows experience so the class is easier. can you imagine what they would do when they see linux for the first time (remeber that time you took your laptop to get fixed at best buy... "hey ted come here. what the heck is this?". so until the world changes to linux for the desktop or bsd or whatever *nix, microsoft will be taght in school.
dude just go get a freaking tv they are dirt cheaop and alot less hassle than a tv tuner card and stuff. but if you think you need to go all out with your tv and everything and build a linux dvr and all, i think your nuts if you have been abke to live without tv that long you could just wait awhile im surei mean you can get nice trv's the are like 20 some inches that will play games and watch the news for 150 bucks whereas a tv tuner and all is expensive. i have a tv tuner card with my playstatiojn hooked up to it and it really isnt that great.

maybe i wasnt very clear, i said it takes away the busy work. knowing how to solve problems and knowing how various theorems/ and properties can be used to solve equations and how to solve equations is the most important part of math, actually doing the work on a piece of paper by hand isnt. i could go through that problem on a piece of paper no sweat, but it would be time-consuming. and by the way i dont hope to be building bridges or anything in the future im focusing on world domination.
im in algerbra II and wouldnt dare mess with my ti-89 i love the solve feature and the numeric solver. it makes all the busy work dissapear. All i have to do is enter solve(23^8/6x*x^2=92,x) and i get a answer! for x, plus the 3d graphing is really cool
well you get what you pay for (most of the time). your buying a better camera when you get a d30/60/10D. but sure if your a beginner at it go for the rebel. you dont get all the features with a rebel that you will get with a d series. a used bmw M3 might cost more than a brand new hyundai, but which one would you rather have?
i also think that prices will be driven down with the rebel out there, people will have to get more competitive with the market for the novices out there
yeah, you should switch. in the long run, your gonna save money. plus anyone who reads slashdot has some CF cards around dont they? if your not a professional i would reccomend something with fewer MP. with a 6.3mp i think you can get up to 4.3 mg files in raw format, which is kinda ridiculous. i use a D30 and i just love it. but whatever you do make sure to get something where lenses are many and cheap. because they will be the best way to lose money

Most of them dont even know how this sort of technology will help, or that it already could exist. America gets obsessed about things, like biological attacks on New York and then people crash airplanes into the skyline. Bottomline is that America Europe or the rest of the world will do anything that they think will stop terrorism, they like it if it sounds good.
