One of my favorite dialogs from Windows is the one saying "This program is not responding". Excuse me but wouldn't it be nice to tell me which one that is? Obviously Windows knows which one it is. Arrrr!
They are licensing VFAT for manufacturers who want to use VFAT formatted devices. FAT in and of itself is a DR-DOS derivitave that they do not own. Why after years of letting companies use VFAT are they now deciding that they should charge for that technology other than to reap a profit on the millions of memory sticks, memory cards, smart media, etc?
This seems to be an offer from Microsoft to license their FAT file system to companies that wish to have their expertise/source/technology to use in products. If you are already satisfied with your FAT-equipped device/os then just don't pay the Microsoft Tax(tm). Am I missing something here or will the price of memory-sticks, flash cards, cameras, etc suddenly go up?
I believe what Microsoft is selling is a license to use their FAT system code. If you already know how to do it then you can safely ignore this offer. I don't think there is anything more to it than that.
Actually, it says he lives on Deceased street in Deceased in the county of Unknown and the state of YY with a zip code of 00000. The tool is a lot more useful if you enter your own address or a nearby address to see what kinds of perverts are living across the street (or not).
Actually I think dogs and cats genetically engineered themselves in order to survive. It's the pets that own us, not the other way around, contray to popular belief.
Given the choice between spam and taxes I will take spam. Any time the government gets involved things get screwed up. Let private industry handle this puppy. If the load of spam becomes too great it will start impacting bottom lines and that's when the problem will be solved. Ella seems to be serving my needs quite well now for Outlook. It is troublesome to me that the minute a problem becomes large scale the cries of government intervention start coming. It's a bad train of thought to be riding.
I couldn't agree more. Any service which can be provided by a private company should so the government is free to provide those services which cannot be easily provided by private companies. (which is almost nothing these days)
Now I'll be able to download my legal binary copy of fully licensed SCO Linux faster. Response times for bug reports and fixes should be faster too. Gotta love those Utah guys.
There is a tremendous amount of strong thought and information on the web that is not, in my opinion, safe for young and impressionable people to read and view. Just because there is no one there waiting to take your life doesn't mean it isn't dangerous. And it's all just one click away.
Last time I checked I live in a country that has laws and ways of enforcing them. Plus, it's just easier to be polite and treat people the way I want to be treated. Any thing less than this is just bad manners.

Heh heh... he said "head".
That's my only impression as to how it could have been seen as a troll. Who knows.

Thanks John, here I thought you were dead! Linux and the Beatles are *BOTH* more popular than Jesus.
