It's just something I whipped up out of old sound cards, some wires, and car battery.
I guess I wasn't clear enugh.
The idea is that you output your PS2 to an AMP (reciever) and then you send a line out to your plain old sound card. Or if you have a nice sound card with a digital input, you can just send audio from the PS2 optical port to the sound car's optical port.
they are trying to say that you can't copy it in analog? (you know, output from your amp into your PC's MIC input)
may sound like crap (always did when I tried) but you CAN to that.
-Mr. Obvious
this is great... first attbi cuts upstream to 32kb/s.
then comcast eats attbi and kicks me off my news server to replace it with a 1GB/month cap. giganews is complete garbage. I now don't use newsgroups. Thanks!
now this?
I mean EXCUSE ME for using no bandwith for five strait days then downloading 300kb/s for 48 strait hours on a service I PAY TO USE.
Nonsense! It is the final fantasy for the cast of characters involved it it's story. FFX differs in the fact that it's Titus' story or Titus' final fantasy. Or even this: titus is the final fantasy of the fayth. FFX-2 is Yuna's "final fantasy".
Or you could go with the "it was the last option for a failing game producer in the eighties" option. It's just a name. And it sells.
You're not funny. Ass.
-Fanboy
On the othe side of the coin, what would you have called Final fantasy 2US, 3US, 7, 8, 9, and X respectivly?
It seems to me that with the UMD as the primary media they are boasting for the device, the answer is going to have to be "No".
My best guesses would be 1) Ports of the best PS1 titles, 2) Some method of copying your original PS1 disc to a UMD (highly improbable), or 3) No option at all.
If you want a portable PS1, go buy the PS1 with mobile monitor, battery pack, DC car adaptor, etc. The products have been out for a while.
Backward compatability would be nice, but im guessing that UMD makes this really hard to accomplish. Would you really rather have this be a big, clunky, full CD/DVD sized reader in a portable game system? I'd even venture to say that a portable PS1 was more "laptop gaming" rather than portable gaming due to the equipment layout.
My question will be more about what kind of interoperability it will have with the PS3 (or PS2). I'm so impressed with the connectivity between GBA and GC. (on my way to buying both soon) I hope that PSP has some form of interoperation with PS2/3.
Somewhat OT question: What games on PS1 are worth porting? Why not buy and play the original disc on PS1/PS2?
She would probably not stop with his ass, and sue his WALLET.
Bue it's a valid point: using other keywords. Perhaps a better example would have been the band Porn or erotica with albums such as asian, blonde, etc.
Not that I'd use a P2P program or anything... This is just.... theory.
"This is Casy Casum's top 40 (tm) and the number one hit in America today is 'carat open parenthesis star backslash' by the new breakout band "percent twenty"
I'm on my 3rd too. And i wanted to say thanks to BEST BUY for giving me two of them FOR FREE!
Their product replacement plan is definatly worth it for the PS2. I bought one for $300 and when it broke, Best Buy gave me a new one, and since the price had dropped to $200, they gave me the diference back in store credit and let me buy another replacement plan. So I took in my broke PS2 and walked out with a new one with new warranty and a FREE GAME!
That one broke and I returned it for ANOTHER a few days ago.

Not to be a troll, but Wasn't Vice city the 4th game? Thus making it GTA4? Or is Vice city like a 3.5 because it seems like the same or too similar game engine?

Doing my part to ensure I always see Karma: Bad.
I don't know about everyone else, but I noticed a sticker on my BoVD that clearly states: WARNING ADULT CONTENT. And let me tell you, it's not one of those easy to remove stickers! In my sloppy attempt to remove it, I damaged my books cover. And to top that off, the book was too bland for what I expected. It's more like "the book of ungood bad guy stuff".
(nothing new below, just wanted to whine) I'm playing 3.5 with my group and it's OK, but I'm not going to go out and buy the new core 3 for $90 when I have the 3.0 books in good condition. One of the guys bought the new PHB and DMG (with store discount mind you) and everyone else uses the SRD3.5 from their site. It works well. The new rules are OK enough, but if they want more of my money, I'd like new content, not a barely different regurgetated copies of books I already have.
WoTC = Corporate Whore
Lastly, why can't I roll better than a 9 on my attack rolls? It is my dice or is it just me?
So, on the next GTA game are we going to see a big WARNING message during load times and before the Rockstar Logo?
WARNING: This game is rated M for Mature. By playing this game you agree that.....(blah blah don't sue us blah blah not our fault if you are a dumbass blah blah)
Maybe I should sue Polyphony Digital for my pain of being too poor to buy those nice cars in Gran Turismo 3? I'd sue them for my reckless driving too, but THEY have a warning that plays for 3 seconds.
I really see your point on the "new" need of consoles. I bought my first PS for FF7, now I'm planning to buy a GC and GBA:SP for the square enix goodness to be released. If not for those new games, I'd have no need to spend that $300 on nintendo equipment.
I'm currently a free man! And I owe it to this kind of defense! I was one of the first to download that Postal 2 demo... and stabing people in the face with a shovel, covering them in gas, then lighting them on fire was the most fun I've had in years! I had been doing that for like an hour a day... every day. Well, when there was a power outage and I couldn't get my daily dose of stabity death, I took my shovel and gas and headed into the next subdivision.
Long story short, I'm free because I was "insane" and needed "help". And blaming the game helped me stay out of prison for 3 counts of murder.
For anyone who is still pending litigation and wants to go full-on for the insanity plead, fire your lawyer and defend yourself... go for the chewbacca defense. It adds a special bit of believeability.
I thought this was about a Vice City port. Versetti / Resetti. Nevermind.
