This sounds interesting and all, but what about the players for such a console? And games?
My interest would be peaked more if I could expect SNES graphics.. but even then...
So how does this market work? Step 1:Buy lots of hardware, hook it up. Step 2: ??? Step 3: Profit!
Being a windows user, I reintstall evey 35 days. And I don't save the kazaa installer due to the updates. so i've downloaded kazaa like 20 times by now.
When I got stuck in suikoden3 for ps2, I didn't have the option of buying a guide. The publisher decided not to print it. So I got it on gamefaqs. It would have been tempting to have a printed copy, but I can't argue with free.
I got the guide to GTA:VC pretty much just for the maps. (to agree with another post)
Yeah, I have a patent on KOD-MOS androids... and ill sue anyone who sells you one. You might want to persue a KOS-MOS android though... but I think Vector's site got slashdotted.
It's not THAT bad. I mean DEAD:BEEF:FACE:0000:2D44:A176 just rolls of my tongue! Coloned hex is your friend.
Also, since there are SO MANY IPv6 IPs, don't you think that the first two segments will be common? I.E. A bunch of IPs in your area would start with 0000:0000 early on. also I think:: will auto fill beginning zeros for the first part of IPv6 implementation and if that's not enough, you can stil use old IPv4 addys in IPv6 like this::216.239.57.99.
A personal experience I had with windows media licensing happend about a year and a half ago. I was helping a friend reinstall windows98 after it got hosed up. He originally encoded the files with WMP at default settings. All from CDs he owned mind you! When he restored the files from a CD backup, they wouldn't play because they "originated from another computer".
What I want to know is how will an Windows OS reinstall effect the downloaded music files/DRM?
I'm still clinging to WindowsXP at the tune of my bi-monthly reinstall. (I feel like a retard posting on slashdot and not running linux.)
