Floating robot....that's pretty cool. Maybe you answered this in your statement but how are the cables etc. able to get wet without something happening?
What do you all expect? Terminator is supposed to be all about the fights, blow ups, and special effects. I think even if nothing was good about the movie people would still go see it just because it is Terminator!!! I thought it rocked!
I think that devices such as these could work to our advantage but I personally think that with all of this technology we're putting a limit on life and turning ourselves into computers.
I have a difficult time with this one. I do think that games such as SIMS might have a negative effect on society, but at the same time these are adults that have their own minds (should know right from wrong, reality from fiction). I don't really know where to stand on this one.
I work at a library and yes, Martin is always being checked out. I had never really wanted to read his books but I think I might give this one a shot. Thanks for the recommendation!!
It seems like a great movie...I just have a feeling that it's not going to do as well as people hope. It seems like older people might be more interested in it than younger kids. Heck, kids have no idea who Brad Pitt and Catherine Zeta Jones are.
I know....I think it's kind or silly that he sued and won because he couldn't play the CDs in his car. What if we all just put G4s on our cars...would we all win?!?!
I partially agree that if entertainment was quality, such as Harry Potter, than consumers would be more willing to pay for it but...I don't think that would stop a lot of people from downloading etc. If you can download quality for free instead of paying for it then why wouldn't you?
First of all I want to applaude you. We need more teachers like you who are interested in creating a fun yet intellectual classroom. I don't really have any suggestions just make sure that the kids have a good time while learning. Computers are an essential tool now and if you can involve it in a way that the kids enjoy then I say go for it!!!
So, if I share files with other people I could gain royalties just like an artist does? I don't understand this. Could someone please explain to me why KAZAA would do this?
Have you all heard about a website called donorschoose.org? It's a website where teachers can list there educational needs (ex. a certain book) and if a donor is interested in donating then they click on the teacher they want and donate. How wonderful is that!!!

I just want to say that I love Elijah Wood and I think that is a an amazing actor. I am so glad to see him get the recognition he deserves!!
