To bad Marx confused "Capitalism" with "Corporatism" and corporatism is nothing more than Government and Big Business playing patty cake and having a big old circle jerk.
Free market capitalism leaves the economy (aka you, me, and the consumer) help determine demand and business fill the demand. This is far more efficient then central planning which is almost always slower to react then diversified parties providing demand.
I agree citation is needed but isn't your restriction like saying "anyone who doesn't agree with me does not count?"

ALL AMERICANS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR HAVING HEALTH INSURANCE, EXCEPT IN CASES OF HARDSHIP
The reforms in the bill will make health care coverage more affordable so that all Americans have access to
coverage that protects against catastrophic costs.
Individuals who choose not to obtain basic health coverage will be subject to a modest penalty based on 2.5 percent of income. In no case would the penalty exceed the average cost of a health care policy in the Exchange.
Hardship waivers will be granted to individuals based on criteria such as affordability or religious objections, among other reasons.
On paper we do, but our government has pretty much trashed the constitution. Given how corruption works in Europe and how many people quite frankly ignore their government you have a very valid point
I second that. English voice actor vs. Japanese voice actor debate aside, Cowboy Bebop is an anime the would be robbed of it's mojo if it was live action. I don't have anything against Keanu but this has live action Street Fighter written all over it.
I don't think "Blacks" have been fair with that assessment. Context is everything. When a black youth walks down the street with a strut and the "I'll kick your ass if you look at me wrong" look on their face then they are asking for the treatment.
I've seen white British kids get the same treatment because they were walking, talking, and acting like hoodlums.
A gent from Kenya that was all smiles and friendly as can be never had a problem. He always dressed nice and carried him self well. He always wondered what the African-American's were talking about.
My problem is not that people discriminate, it is that they take it to far. It's one thing say I'm white and only date Caucasians. It's another to go a beat someone down solely because they are black or some other race.
If someone wants to have the Latino's only club then power to them I think you should be free to associate. Heck even employers should be free to discriminate (stupid if they do since it impacts their income) as long as it isn't causing physical harm to another people group.
Maybe I want to start the Neo-Spartan mercenary company and only want to accept homosexuals. I say "Go for it" and power to you.
Ah but to many people today don't want freedom of association when it means they can't be part of some group. I didn't get bent out of shape when college had exclusive clubs for all minorities. However it's just pure hypocrisy when those groups got bent out of shape because someone wants a "Whites" only club.
All men are created equal, but that doesn't mean they all have to be forced to associate with one another.
I use Ubuntu in an enterprise environment and one of the very nice things about 8.10 is the new kernal's support for DFS. We have struggled with this issue for some time now and we were rather giddy when we tested DFS and it actually worked on a 8.10 box.
Granted that is the kernel not just "Ubuntu" so when the rest of the distros use 2.6.26+ (8.10 is 2.6.27+ IE the cutting edge build) they should have the same. Still great news for the enterprise users.
People who only buy from Microsoft?
I guess I play to many computer games and generally look at the version numbers like sequels.
Starcraft 1.0.15 is the version of the first Starcraft.
Starcraft 2.0.1 will be the version of the sequel.
Same thing to Firefox.
FF 1 was the first app and FF2 and 3 are the sequels with their own resulting version/update number.
This is total BS I've seen people from both spectrums fit either side.
I find it funny that the researchers leave out the alternatives. What about the people that think the neo-cons of the Republicans and the neo-socialist of the Democrats are all just power hungry whores that want to screw up this country with their asinine new world order ideology? We are probably just put in the social outcast section of the clean and dirty rooms.
I'd agree that most American's are workaholics. I work for a multinational company and our IT guy that does site installations always comments on how he rushes to get through an installation while the Euro guys are looking at him like he is crazy because he will stay at work 12 hours while he is there.
We have a good laugh when he went to Spain and they were gone for 2 hours in the afternoon and came back with alcohol on their breath.
I wonder how a 24x7 IT shop that has business critical systems compares between America and Europe?
I mean no offense but would you buy a car from a person that said it doesn't need tires without trying it first?
I've yet to meet a vendor that I cannot ask them to demonstrate the product in XYZ browser first if they say it will work in it.
hmm Activision: Call of Duty, Doom 3, Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars, to name a few.
I wouldn't mind Blizzard and Vivindi's games to be come available on the Steam network like some of Activision's are but they may try to do their own instead.
You have to love how the Dems and Reps work together to take from the people. Dem's screw the rich to take their money (rich being anyone making over $150,000 family) and the Reps take from the poor and middle class. Both like to screw over the value of our $$.
They all go to the same parties and one is left to wonder if the Dem/Rep is just a masquerade to take everything?
Limit the government people. It's grown to fat.
Amen to that. Frankly I'd be happy if the internet would make some items more available. Recently I have gotten into e-Books and love them. I've read more being able to pack my books on to my Trio. Currently reading "History of the Peloponnese War" by Thucydides. It is very unlikely I would have the chance to read if with out the internet.
I've been in user support for 10+ years and I've always wondered about the term "user friendly". I think you are on to something there testadicazzo. I think I'm going to start using "neopyhyte friendly" from now one.
I have had no problems with KDE or Gnome, save figuring out how they do some common tasks different from Windows or Max OS X. I wish there was more administrative tools besides command line and knowing the documentation for trying to setup a common environment for all users of a computer but Windows isn't much different in that regard.
If the subject isn't math, reading, or writing then all you are doing when you go to college is pay to have some guys opinion taught to you. Some opinions are better than others but it's still what the prof wants to say. If your lucky then you get a prof. who encourages civil discourse. Others just want a podium. It doesn't matter which political spectrum as both do it.
To bad the U.S.A. has some strange laws about what a parent can and can't do to their child for punishment. I wonder if the parents will point back at myspace for failure to validate authenticity?
Matter of fact am I really me who is posting this on/. ?
PopeRatzo, you might want to check up on what "capitalism" is befor lumping our failed corperate/government system in with it.
Capitalism: an economic system characterized by private or corporate ownership of capital goods, by investments that are determined by private decision, and by prices, production, and the distribution of goods that are determined mainly by competition in a free market
Our markets are not free and many of our corporations are little better than government offices.
I won't blame HP yet. However if they keep these people on board then my trust in this is diminished and I wouldn't be purchasing some of their goods. I've already got bones to pick with them on their proprietary ink. If I start questioning how they treat privacy then it is a good beat I will look elsewhere for my business needs.
I enjoyed, it. It's fun for the reasons as listed. It's kind of a flashback to the old FPS with better graphics days. The spirit walk thing was an interesting twist but made some encounters very trivial (Turret guns for instance).
I need to go back through on the harder mode and see if it's really harder.
I have a MySpace account and I get rather frustraited doing anything with it design wise. However it is intereseting that it's so popular even with it's poor site design. Then again there are many people who are making a business to provide those site design features that MySpace did not. So the question becomes: Why the popularity for a technically junky system? I think we asked the same question about Microsoft Windows.

I would have to agree with that. Then again I'm kind of outside the American norm.
I'd agree that most American's are workaholics. Both are true. It's more stable than expected doesn't mean it's ready. It just means everyone thought it would be worse than it is.
Problem is "professionals" are often order about by the ill-informed that seem to be incapable of listening or understanding the professionals.
