I still think they're going after the angle that JFS, NuMA, et al (basically anything that looks or smells like Unix) are "derivatives" of SysV, and their ownership of Unix means that they control everything related. Thus, IBM shouldn't have contributed to the kernel without first asking SCO's permission. This, I believe, is the heart of their case (they are also still saying there's actual SysV code in Linux, but haven't show squat legally and isn't part of the case as far as I know).
See...it's the virual nature fo the SysV licenese. Anything that you incorperate in with SysV code automatically becomes SysV code. If you kept the code in a closed source program, this wouldn't be an issue...Oh wait. Shit. Wrong argument for the wrong side.

Right. And I guess that if you look at them going in at 7:30 in the morning and leaving sometime around 3:30 then you are right...they only put in 35 hours (including a planning period, minus the lunch). And I'm sure that there are some teachers that do just that and do whatever they want in the evenings. The good teachers and the dedicated ones then go home, do lesson plans, grade papers, write evaluations, etc for several more hours. Being a teacher isn't just a 9 to 5 job that you leave and come back the next day. Lesson plans don't just materialize out of nowhere.

You are right that they do get summers off. But for their meager starting salary, they often have to buy supplies for their class that the school won't pay for, find decorations for their class, and a whole host of other things that start to erode away at that paycheck.

No longer an advantage with DirecTV over Dish. Dish has the 721 receiver (2 tuners, 1 output), 522 (2 tuners, 2 outputs), and the 921 (2 HD tuners, 2 outputs I beleive). Each one is capable of recording 1 show while watching live or pre-recorded content, or recording 2 shows while watching a 3rd pre-recorded show. I don't beleive the currently available DirecTIVOs will do output 2 seperate signals like the 522/921 will.

Honestly, my company. We still use SCO OpenServer currently. Product registration is done via the website. Plus there is the fact that we have close to 700 existing servers out in the field that will need the knowledge base at some point it time.
