Serious... the game starts out great... was really well hyped, and had a lot of potential
Then... you realize that you've basically played the whole thing after the tutorial... it's just lots of repetition of the exact same things over and over... The pet training didn't really work too well... the control system got horribly annoying quickly...
Not to mention, there was a game stopping bug in one of the games missions at release...
If you ever want to watch a cell phone store salesperson's head blow up... walk in, looking for a cell phone that has two functions, it can make calls, and it can receive calls...
They didn't understand why I thought a crackberry was a threat from my office...
And then I caused true chaos... I tried to pay cash for the phone...
And is that a bad thing?
How many school shootings have you heard about in the US? And how many school shootings have you heard of in countries where handguns are banned?
Yes... it is a bad thing...
I've heard about one maybe two school shootings a year... now... considering that the UK is about a fiftieth of the size of the US... in the next 20 years or so, I'm sure I'll hear about a school shooting in the UK.
How many crimes could have gotten stopped in the UK if the person attacked had a gun? How many crimes in the US are stopped because the person attacked had a gun?
Don't forget, you could also become a porn star, get married, and sell your spouse into slavery...
Something tells me if this goes to consoles, we'll have a brand new franchise for people to say how horrible it is, and how it corrupts 'teh children!'...
Of course... if the relationship is already at the point where they're attempting to secretly investigate each other, it's a dead relationship anyways...
A side note here... remember that the US is 3.7 million square miles in size (.0018234234... raw pollution per square mile) and the EU is only 1.7 million square miles in size (.0023706 raw pollution per square mile), and that China is about 3.7 square miles in size as well (.000986486... raw pollution per square mile), and finally, India is only 1.27 square miles in size (.000967354 raw pollution per square mile).
That paints a picture of the EU being in the worst shape, with the US slightly behind, and then China and India fairly close together.
Is pollution per land mass a more fair measurement?
Mind you, this is assuming that CO2eMt stands for Megatons of CO2 emitted. If I'm incorrect in that assumption, then I apologize. I'm also basing the per square mile amounts on your raw emissions amount.
First of all... I say we all meet in a bar and hold this discussion, I'm sure it would be much more fun...:)
Now... as to the idea of hell as punishment. One thought is that hell is experiencing everything that you have done, but with perfect clarity, so you fully appreciate the consequences of your actions. Another thought is that hell is merely being cut off from God (in which there are multiple thoughts as well, one of them being you experience God, and get more hooked on that feeling then a heroin junkie, then get cut off). A third is that hell is just a true anarchy, do whatever you want to, and realize that Bubba next door will do whatever he wants, and to whomever he wants to. Then there's the people who believe you actually get a nice bath in fire and sulphur...
And of course... these are just a sampling of Christian beliefs...
Nephilium... just an Agnostic who loves discussing various mythological belief systems...
Beg to differ on the time frame... I prefer about 8-10 hours to allow the beans to completely vent their CO2... meaning, roast it at night, wake up in the morning... enjoy perfect coffee... of course, you also have to roast differently depending on the type of beans you're using.
And as for style, I've got a 12 cup drip, a 3 cup drip, one of the Aeropress makers (really nice actually), and want to pick up a vacuum brewer... Favorite depends on the need, for days when I can sit at home, I use the 12 cup, otherwise, I'll usually use the Aeropress...
A quick tip for those stuck with bad coffee, a touch of salt in the coffee grounds cuts out some of acrid taste from the coffee, making it much more palatable.
I must say... that is probably one of the best comments on the Constitution I've read in a long time...
This is why I'm in favor of an Enumerated Powers act (one that requires Congress to list where in the Constitution they have the authority to pass the law)...
Actually... as she says, the law (apparently) in NY is that if she doesn't confiscate them, she's liable. I know here in Ohio, barstaff are required to confiscate them as well.
If you actually like the bar, why the hell do you want the staff to pay several thousand dollars so you can have a drink, and why do you want the bar to risk being shut down?
So... now take that salary they're making, and subtract the following:
1) Student loans. (Med school on top of college.)
2) Insurance. (Look at the cost per year of average Malpractice insurance.)
3) The fact that they are making life or death decisions.
4) Ongoing education.
Now, how much are they making? And how does that compare to a sales droid?
An addendum, if there are certain types of coverage I don't want... don't force me to pay for them. Personally, I would love to see personal health care savings accounts actually put into place... not something where I put aside $x, and if I don't use it by the end of the year, it goes away. Let me put $x into an account that I control, where I can invest it, let it gain interest, etc... and let ME keep it. Make it so the funds can be put in tax free, but can only be taken out for health care costs (non-elective, so no saving up for that plastic surgery tax free). Think of it as an IRA for health care instead of retirement.
Well... an accidental misspelling years ago, which I stuck with for all this time because the handle is almost always available,
and it at least looks like it fits the bastardized Latin pluralization rules...
It was really amusing one time when a Jehovah's Witness asked me what my e-mail address was... I think they were the only other person to recognize what it's from...

He's nearly on Carter's level when it comes to diplomacy.
You consider this a good thing? He's almost as good as the man who has yet to meet a dictator he didn't like? And in my opinion (for the little it's worth), if a communist dictator is asking for a specific person to negotiate with them, could it be because said dictator knows that they're a pushover?
Social Security is a ridiculous failure in that it's a giant Ponzi scheme... the money that is collected from the current people working goes to pay the people who have retired (or orphaned/injured) and are collecting the money. This worked fine when the system first started off... with (from memory) about 7 workers per person collecting... it will not work so fine when the Baby Boomers start retiring... when the ratio goes to (again from memory) about 2 workers per person collecting.
I know that at my age (30), I have zero expectation that there will be any Social Security paychecks coming to me, and the money that I've been forced to pay into it is a lost investment.
I'm always intrigued about government agencies that set up things that would be illegal for any private person/corporation to do.

The s/something/somethingelse means that you should substitute the second item for the first one.
An example:
Foo is to the left.
s/Foo/Bar
Bar is to the left.
Nephilium... heading left to the Bar...
Maybe not Teddy Bear Head... but there is the Head of Vecna...

Quick question, what are the profit margins that Exxon is making? And how does that compare to other industries?
Profit != Profit Margin
If you want to talk about exploiting, that would generally mean that their profit margin is high.
