Joking. Christ, lighten up man. I am poking fun at people see the word slavery and instantly go berzerk about the suffering of slaves.

  3. Re:Euphemisms on RIAA Sues More Music Lovers · · Score: 1

so? I don't care about slavery. Ah, the suffering of slaves, and the suffering of sea going fisherman, and the suffering my dog with arthritis, and the suffering of me at work, and the suffering of slamming my hand in my car door, and the suffering of getting chigger bites. I have suffered, you have suffered, slaves suffered, who gives a shit?

  4. MS Will just turn the OS into a Search box. on Microsoft Challenges Google · · Score: 1

That's it. It worked against netscape. All they did was make the OS a web browser, now, all they have to do is make The OS a search box. Done. Finished. Look at how F****** Worthless search is in windows XP. I have not yet figured it out, and I have been playing with that stupid dog for 2 years.

  7. Why not? on Does Your Company Pay For Broadband? · · Score: 1, Funny

I pay for my own broadband, cell phone, home phone, and laptop. Guess what, EACH one of those I use as a resource in making my life/work better. Clients can't get through on the business line, they nextel me, GREAT. Good, I wish EVERY employee here was as dedicated, we would get more done. All that matters is GETTING THE JOB DONe, who gives a shit who pays for the cell phone, it's only $50 a month, and my pay is a shit ton more than that. My car, yep, if for whatever reason some other employee, or a boss needed one of my 3 cars, go for it. That's why we make THE BIG BUCKS, because it's WHATEVER IT TAKES.

  10. Small calc alternative. on TI-84 Plus Released · · Score: 2, Interesting

Having been a die hard HP48GX user since high school, I finally got sick of the bulky size, weight, and lack of development of the HP line (until now with the 49 etc). Well, HP isn't interested in making a dual line RPN stack calc, so I picked up a Casio fx-115MS and have never looked back. I would have gotten one of the TIs but, they didn't have the interface the casio has. So long RPN.

Perhaps if a person OWNED the software they bought, then piracy would go down. Like, why can't I install windows xp on every machine I own, I bought it once? Software licensing sux. Software ownership = VERY GOOD.

  16. Government Bailout of RIAA on RIAA Sues 12-Year Old Girl · · Score: 1

Perhaps RIAA is going for government bailout? The airlines got it after 9/11. There industry is being destroyed by a technology started by the defense department. So why not give RIAA say, 80Billion dollars to keep them afloat. Concessions would be mandatory filtering of ALL PTp traffic, upload caps, etc.

  17. Its about engineering economics on Separate Cargo and Personnel Missions for NASA? · · Score: 4, Insightful

When you return with a ship of empty space (the cargo bay empty) you are paying an aoerodynamic PRICE. By discarding the cargo transporter, you save because that aerodynamic cost is left in orbit. The aerodynamic cost of the capsule to earth is TINY. That way you can bring back the crew in a capsule, which is easier and safer. So they have to splash down in the ocean, big frickin deal.
