Since June (OS 2008.05) with nary a complaint.

One of the cooler features that wasn't mentioned in the review is the snapshot ability of the ZFS. With OpenSolaris they have tied it into upgrade process so that a snapshot of old boot environment is created automatically (and placed in the GRUB menu) and you can switch between the two at boot time and manage which one takes priority via beadm pretty seamlessly.

Give it a whirl...you might like it.

According to this guy http://www.c0t0d0s0.org/archives/4361-Playing-around-with-Opensolaris-2008.05-Release-Candidates.html/, system updates can be done in 2 commands and are tied in with the snapshot feature of ZFS automatically thus allowing trivial switching between the pre and post upgrade boot environments.

  8. It's a shame... on Enterprise Finale Airing Tonight · · Score: 1

because season 4 has been a vast improvement over prior seasons and it seems as though the show is finally hitting it's stride. Trust me, I've suffered through seasons 1-2 and tolerated season 3. A new show runner (in Manny Coto) who cares about trek, has done wonders this season.

  9. I don't agree... on Trek Producers Will Provide World A Break · · Score: 2, Interesting

    that Trek needs a break.

What Enterprise suffered from was poor writing, especially in Seasons 1 and 2. The classic example of this is the ep where Archer takes his dog on a diplomatic mission...rubbish.

Contrast that with Seasons 3 (to some extent) and Season 4, with Season 4 in particular being excellent.

I think that Berman and Braga are full of shit and are trying to cover their ineptitude and lack of originality.

ADSL starts at US $75 for 256Kbps downstream and 64Kbps upstream. Like most caribbean countries, we are only now breaking the yoke of Cable and Wireless' monopoly. So far they have managed to stall the cellular competion for over a year by refusing to agree on interconectivity charges etc. Needless to say, most people here are going to switch en mass when the other companies finally get going....competition is a wonderful thing....
