I love the car analogy, but lets get more specific. How about "chipping" a car. You are modifying a computer component by soldering or wiring in an extra piece of hardware. Often circumventing safety and environmental controls the manufacturer has installed. Now in some states this is illegal, but 10 years? C'mon lets be reasonable here. Oh wait, this is in the US, reasonable is an illegal word down there I bet.

At what point is society going to get fed up and say "deal with it"? All this bullying and harassment protection crap has gone too far. When i was in school, pranks happened, you dealt with it. Now days people run to the police or courts every time someone calls them a name. I am not saying bullying and harassment are not bad and shouldn't be discouraged, but should it be a legal issue at all. Was i ever expelled when i wrote ~ teacher sux on the wall? whats so different about the internet. suck it up and deal with it. we are breeding whole generations of whiners and complainers. I dread to see what society is going to look like if this keeps up.

Anyone ever looked at it? The concept is so simple its amazing. I am not the most technical person, but here is my impression of how it works/ A message comes in from a server that is not on any of the black/grey/white lists. The message gets bounced back saying try again later and the mail server gets grey listed. If the server retries again later (within the allotted time), it gets whitelisted. Spammers never try twice. I went from well over 200 spam per day to ~3 last year. Yup only 3. It is not cpu intensive, the mail is not analyzed or modified in any way, it just plain works. Try it, love it, tell others.

You think that i could actually post that if i hadn't been there. i've worked for under $5.hr. barely was able to buy food. not so much anymore. But the key is if you work hard, it'll pay off. there are waaaay to many losers out there that want the world handed to them, but are unwilling to get it themselves. If you act like you do not like ur job, ur not going to get anywhere. and you're not going to get a good reference when leaving. So get off ur ass and do something other than whine.

  18. Get over it!! on Working Hard? · · Score: 2, Insightful

Man, not be too harsh, but you people complain too much. North America has the worst work ethic i have ever seen. Alot of other places, u'd be happy to have a job. There is nothing i hate more than to run into someone who dislikes thier job, and lets it show. If it is that bad, get another job. If ur too lazy to do that, stop whining. You try to compare urselves to people from all over the world, but you neglect to realize that, in my opinion, many are grossly overpaid. When was the last time you ran into an employee in the service industry that obviously did not want to be there. If you answer more than 24 hours, i'll be impressed. If you are going to take the time to do anything, do it right. if you believe u are under-valued and under-paid, find a better job. Can't, ur likely not worth it. My 2 cents!
