AFAIK Microsoft didn't copy the product and presented as their own. They were rebranding it from Cybercash, Cybercash was making money from Microsoft Wallet.
It's possible, I'll take your word for it, but with so much new, interesting, relevant and non-duplicate stuff on slashdot everyday, I never get the chance to visit other websites...
I didn't used to need any type of ad blocker since I had that little checkbox available on slashdot to disable ads because of my contributions. it's gone. and slashdot is the only thing I use a browser for, anyway.
"Honorable way out"? They've already lost all honor they had, including the emergency reserves for an "honorable way out". Not even hara-kiri is good enough for them.
£100,000 in damages, considering the typical amounts for this kind of lawsuits nowadays, as well as the type of companies involved, is hardly a dime. It's somewhere along the street value of the car. Are they just charging them for the Tesla they used?
That wouldn't spare anyone from any agony. If someone didn't find the agony there, there are many other places where there would be agony for him. And doing that to the company doesn't mean that the company would be shut down or anything else. And don't get me wrong, because, to be honest, I did love that position, I loved the work I did, had a real sense of fulfillment and amazingly nice feedback from everyone. But when I understood I could not trust the people above me and that the company was headed for self-destruction, that was when I quit. And trust is my reason. That's one thing I'm not willing to break, therefore I wouldn't do anything of the kind.

No need to declare that crap unconscionable and unenforcable. It's enough to declare that crap. Period.
Time to go for a class action lawsuit for trying to make us waive our right to a class action lawsuit. Sony can burn in hell.
Isn't it possible with Mono and the upcoming version of Codegear's C++ Builder?

If you'd like to measure Portuguese writing skills with me, be free to do so. Until then, don't mess with me because of a stupid typo.

GEEEZ! SARCASM, ANYONE? Remember that concept? I think it still appears in a dictionary!
As said before, you guys really should learn about the concept of sarcasm.
Seems you are unfamiliar with the concept of sarcasm.
I was aiming for a "Funny" moderation, but hey, the network he set up kept running even with him away from it...
... I'll hire him.

What about me? So, they fsck up for everybody, but only US users get some sort of compensation and protection from THEIR mistakes?

I would be worried about that if I was planning on using windows.
Rule #1 when buying a new PC: HDD low-level format. It's the closest thing you have to sterilize it.
