As a UMR alumni, theres other things to do. Granted they all involve lots of alcohol. Making homemade wine in your dorm room, calculating the proof of some concoction made in a trash can, it's fun, fun, fun. Good Job to the Solar Car team though. A couple of years ago when they first started to really do well I knew several people on the team. Good to see they're still doing well.

The problem is that solution would only last until regulations got passed stipulating a longer period of document retintion. For example, Govenment passes a bill concerning business practices. This bill has a list of policies a company must enforce, one being retention of documents for a minimum of one year. This would definately get support, not only from it dealing with the RIAA issues, but issues relating to Enron and other big companies.

Marketing is acctually a big part of ensuring quality processes. All the disciplines ensuring quality need feedback from customers, whether it is the end customer or the company you are supplying. I'm in a position right now setting up a Quality System (granted not for software, but manufactured parts) and it relies heavily on customer feed back on all our processes, not just the quality of our product. I started assuming I wouldn't interact with marketing at all, and now it's become a large focus.

Just giving the one instance really. I asked around my friends and got a similar responses from those that had expirence with Lexmark, then spent some time discussing it with my friend who interned at Lexmark, and he also seemed to agree. If the printer hadn't been a freebie with my computer, and I didn't use the campus laser printers in favor of it, I would have been pissed more.

There's acctually a big differene in Lexmark printers out there. Don't ever buy one from their home line of printers. I had one and it was broke after my first year of college. Their business class printers however are pretty decent. A friend of mine interned with them working on the business class drivers and claimed they were really good printers, but the home models sucked.

Marcus Brody was my favorite character after Indy. When I heard Elliot died in '92 I realized if they made another movie, it won't be as good as I would have wanted it.
