    CS (and all other half life mods) can use HLTV which supports up to 128 spectators, without affecting the match (30-60 second delay, players don't see text, not a bandwidth hog). HLTV can also record the entire match. Gotfrag and other sites host a lot of HLTV demo's from playoff matches. I'm not sure if newer games have an HLTV equivalent yet or not. I'm a nerd.

    Of course games are then limited to 60fps, which is fine for me, but some people claim to be able to feel the difference. turn of vSync in opengl setting on your video card.

    You get what you pay for. When you rely on free or low-cost products, you often get the shaft, and that, in my opinion, is exactly what governments are on track to get.

    New players invariably take licks while trying to learn any game. Trying to get through the learning curve against people who've been playing a game for years is a tough situtation, but you'll have to deal with it.
    Fps games really boil down to map memorization.
    And if you're worried about cheaters, you'll need to play console games instead. It's to easy to download skill then take the time and develop it.

    more like a forum rant than a well thought out 'article'. But with that being said, he's got some good points, snipers in FPS are used offensivly on the battlefield, instead of supporting an area from a safe distance. Especially game where the maps are relativly small. (and not having one shot kills is like saying the bullets are defective. it's meant to go kill a person, not tickle them to death)
