    This could become a nightmare for those in witness protection. Photo of Mr X in his original town. Automatically recognized and tagged photo of Mr X in town Y, hundreds of miles away.

    That's still a far cry from the first programming language, which is what the quote actually says. Some of us were happily banging away in languages like Fortran and PL/1 well before then.

    Not to mention assembler, which doesn't seem to have made it on to the chart. It's a lot more readable than machine code.

    Sentech is introducing (legally) at the major centres a broadband wireless service called MyWireless. Pricing starts from R649 per month for 128Kbps (with R500 once-off activation fee) all inclusive. No usage "capping".

    If not amending after total, blank lines are shuffled up. After total, blanked lines are left blank (in table) to avoid shuffling.

    The original was all in caps, without punctuation. The first sentence should be understood to mean "If amending before total,..."

    An here's a comment taken from a COBOL program I once had to maintain. It actually does make sense if you manage to guess the right punctuation:
    "If not amending after total blank lines are shuffled up after total blanked lines are left blank in table to avoid shuffling."

    RFID can be used for access control, e.g. a chip can be embedded in a staff card to allow only authorised staff to enter certain areas. Most RFID devices are passive, i.e. they don't have their own energy source so the reading device has to supply the energy, and the range would be quite short. Active RFID can have longer range but is more expensive.
