Any organization could with alot of idle computers could use extra money but my concern if someone did this without the permission of the company. Using company assets to make money.
The internet is not for people but for businesses or that is what they want us to believe. Nothing i s stopping anyone from creating thier own tld's only exceptance. Now the ICANN will make thier money and the new Registars will make a killing. But to be fare it do see this help to aid in the organization of the internet domain structure we will see in time how it plays out it will be a fun ride.
Will this company be a kinder gentler company or cut throat like other softawre companies . Remember the main goal for a company is to turn a profit. Having a democratic company to me seems kind of stupid. The best companies usualy are ranned by One good leader who gets the job done. My worry like in many other comapnies thing will be left in the air because remember it is democratic. It make the company even more polictical then it should be.
I hope the new company will streamline how things get done so it could be more effiecent. I do not want to see this new company go bankrupted agian. I hope they target thier market the right way.

Of galaxies may be quicker than originaly thought. They did expect to find galaxies that old. Well maybe when the "big bang" happen since these galaxies where closer to the bang they form quicker than galaxies that were further away from the bang. What is stopping gtk from doing the same thing. A programmer willing to do it. If people are complaining about then let them do something about it. But I can not program is a common response THEN LEARN I say or find some who can pay them or convince them it is the thing to do.
Hey this violates the CIA policy then they should get repremaned. At any job if you use the computer for non work related items without permission then you will get in trouble. Hell this is the CIA. I am not surprise they are finding themselfd without a job.
Yes a visual metaphor help users with usabililty of computers. But Which is the best kind of Metaphor that could transend culture line that will be difficult to create. I hope we do not another start button to shut down the computer.
Why not use technology and the old ballot system together. Have a touchscreen that is an interface to the punch card that way it you could not highjack the vote electronicly. And the only thing that has to change is the equipment at the polls. Just a thought

I can see a big problem at Schools and Companies networks when all of a sudden there is an increase in network traffic.
