Yeah, I knew that was kinda a jerky answer. But since the question didn't specify why exactly it needed to be wireless, my mind jumped to the simplest conclusion. Which sometimes turns out to be the best anyways- but maybe not this time.
I know this isn't the preferred answer, but... I'm in college and I have a few classes in the computer lab. The professor doesn't like us all clicking the mouse while he's trying to speak/ teach (understandably). So what do we do when we want to browse the web rather than listen to him? learn to use the keyboard!
I know it's kinda a foreign concept in windows, but I've learned most of the keyboard shortcuts/ commands to do navigation things, and I think sometimes it's actually quicker than using the mouse. And there's no click. So I don't know what exactly what you're working on, I know some programs will obviously require a mouse, but if you can, see how much you can do with the keyboard.
Yeah, players will now be falling out of their chairs all the time and inuring themselves, as they lean into a corner that doesn't really exist. Gravity will still pull down.
I didn't see the episode so I'm not sure exactly what this was explaining... If it was talking about CDs exploding in the drive I can vouch for that.
I had a CD explode in the drive before. It apparently had a miniscule crack (in the CD), and I guess when it was spinning in the drive at full speed, the centrifugal force just made it blow apart. Sounded like a gunshot. Scared the crap out of me. I'll never use those crappy generic CD-Rs again.
When I called up Dell support the guy scratched his head at first but then when he talked to other ppl he said a few others had gotten similar calls. His support advice:
"Open the drive tray and shake the computer until all the bits of CD come out. It should be fine; they're pretty sturdy."
The Software Engineering department at RIT has an application domain (like a concentration w/in your degree) for Computer Game programming. I believe this concentrates much more on the programmming aspect of game programming, though... I don't think they get very much into the artisitic realm of this.
And even if it is cheap to manufacture, it will probably become a gimmick to raise the cost of a record.. Or whatever it will be called when they start selling music albums on that medium.
Will relationships like this one allow open source projects to compete with and displace closed source commercial products. Are large enterprises likely to stop paying huge licensing fee's to BEA & IBM, and start deploying on JBoss with an enterprise support contracts from IONA.
Thousands may be able to witness your satellite returning from space in the form of a shooting star, a fireball that burns up in Earth's atmosphere!
Wow... Wouldn't that be nice to watch 9.5 million dollars burn up in a split second as it falls from the sky! There's some incentive... Sounds like a real investment there. If I want a light show I can buy some forecrackers.
If you want to be specific as to what ads are filtered, use the Proxomitron. It's totally customizable, down to what sites you block, what keywords are matched... Also it will block pop-ups/ unders (without blocking deliberate pop-up links), Flash, annoying JavaScript, etc. Has advanced cookie control, freezes animated.GIFs, and a host of other features. Basically it can manipulate anything coming into your browser. It's only for MSWin, but will supposedly work under Wine as well.
Holy mackerel!
I honestly thought "Anonymous Coward" was a real user until I posted anonymously and saw that as my username! Jeez, I thought that guy had a lot of time on his hands to be making all those posts!
So they're developing a new xbox platform already? I thought one of the nice things about consoles was that they didn't become obsolete technology as quickly as PCs. If they release a new xbox soon, 1)They're going to lose sales of their current xbox (oh wait, they already are). But more importantly, 2) if consoles are going to start becoming obsolete in just a few years, it seems to me that it's just going to cause a huge market fragmentation if new consoles come out too soon.
What's to stop LAMP and other similar services from going out and buying regular CDs, and encoding them manually?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but just because they buy the CD and encode it, doesn't mean they have the license rights to "broadcast" it over their network. Maybe I'm missing something here.
If they stopped caching pr0n, they'd have tons of server space to give out for email accounts.
So is this a good way for slashdot geeks to meet girls?? Sweet!
...
Oh wait, it said "physical exertion"... Nevermind.
How long before somebody hacks the iPod to make it play WMA files?
Yeah, I knew that was kinda a jerky answer. But since the question didn't specify why exactly it needed to be wireless, my mind jumped to the simplest conclusion. Which sometimes turns out to be the best anyways- but maybe not this time.
Funny, I just happened to come across another article on the same topic here.
That's a perfect ad campaign for Linux!
"Not only is Linux free, but it will help you kick your gambling habit as well."
Ingenious!
They could use the same image recognition stuff that PhotoShop uses to recognize currency, and modify it to recognize other... Er, heads.
Maybe now I can finally get that shine job I've always wanted!
I go to college with a large deaf population. You would need to be able to sleep through an earthquake to be able to miss this.
I think the consensus is Li Ion and NiMH batteries are better kept close to full charge, and NiCads should be drained fully before recharging.
iPods use a Li-Ion battery.

Good luck.

Does this mean the question mark is obsolete.
It's the latest release too (1.2.5) which seems uncommon in Win ports of *nix software.
Can't go wrong with it.
your girlfriend reads /.??? I should be so lucky...
Holy mackerel!

Anybody?
Nifty little tool. Actually it's the most used piece of software on my computer[s].
