    When I was in Korea (I'm in the Army right now) the drivers would take advantage of soldiers all the time

    They'd only do that once to me. Afterwards I make what the japanese did to the koreans in ww2 look pale when I got done with that sorry cabbie.

    For some reason, cabbies and homeless people piss me off to no end.

    Frankly, when moderating, I automatically set responses to sigs as "off-topic".

    Then what's the point of a witty sig? Besides sometimes the topics are boring like open source licensing and could use some jazzing up. Seriously, how many times does the gpl need to be explained? Those kinda threads just beg for a sig comment.

    I don't know, Sun is investing quite a bit in their new niagra processors, so why would they get out of the server business?

    I check my email around every 2-3 minutes at least, quickly scanning the inbox for messages that pertain to me.

    How do you have time to get any actual work done, or is your job checking email?

    Neither of those examples involve evolution, they are both examples of our creations turning on us (ala Frankenstein). Evolution means life selected through natural selection by the environment in which they live.

    We probably won't be wiped out by a superior race of beings, at least not of our own creation. Wiping out the competition is our trick and we would see it coming.

    I "steal" music/videos/software because my government charges a tax on blank media that they give to someone because said media could be used to "steal" stuff. So I'm paying for something, thus I download as much as possible to get my money's worth.

    Again, to those who insist on saying "it's a levy, not a tax", I say "eat shit".

    I go to the piratebay to download anything I damn well please. This post is not satire. I even downloaded a shitty cam of the simpsons movie just to piss them off. They already convinced my government to tax us for their trashy entertainment (I know it's called a levy, eat shit) so I don't care at all cause that money's going somewhere.

    RIAA/MPAA/key grip that doesn't like "illegal" downloads can all lick my asshole.

    Well, truthfully from what I've seen children of "under performing" people are often the over achievers of the next generation.

    Most of the children from under performing people I knew grew up to be losers just like their parents. Rags-to-riches stories just don't happen in my experience. I'm sure you can point to a few popular figures that made it despite loser parents, but those are the exceptions not the rule.

    I went to Jonathan Coulton's website and listened to some of his songs. The songs were ok, but his voice got on my nerves for some reason. I'd rather listen to elton john (at least his old hits anyways).

    Are people with just slightly lower UIDs like you and I cool then? I always thought my UID was high but then I guess there are some 7 digit ones around.
