I just remember back in the day how hard it was to POP3 Hotmail. So I never used it. I have several GMAIL accounts for several years, that I use fetchmail on and then host on a private IMAP server. But to be honest i can't remember the last time I received or sent ligitament email to a hotmail address.
Agreed. Up till late Blackberry was the go to phone for corporations. Every business exec had a blackberry. But due to poor management and decisions and failure to keep up with larger screens, apps, enjoyable internet surfing, etc they have drastically lost the corp market.I know of a great many large companies and cities that make up huge contracts that have dropped their long time Blackberry phones for the Iphone/Android within the last year. This IMHO is the final nail because they will never switch back. They are just too far behind, and from what I have seen ob BB10, it won't ever catch up...
By reading your post I see you know nothing about law or proper police procedure. A stop or "Terry Stop" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terry_stop requires reasonable suspension to a trained officer, that a crime is/has or is about to be committed and does not allow for a search of a person without further circumstances such as a weapons frisk "which is not a search", etc. A search warrant requires probable cause http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Probable_cause, which is a much higher standard and is the same standard which is required to make an arrest "which is very different than being detained or stopped". Here an officer much show evidence or cause to a judge or magistrate who in turn issues a search/arrest warrant. You really should read up on it, so you know your rights and don't sound like and idiot when you are screaming at the cops.
You are missing the fact that they already have mobile licenses plate scanners all over the country in police cars, as well as stoplight and speeding cameras, and automated toll booths cameras. I haven't heard all that much about profiling from them. Though I don't agree with speeding and stop light camera.
Myspace died or some would say on life support, and noone seems to mind. If people are dense enough to store all of their priceless data on a free to use social network, with no back-up and want to complain when it goes down and loose it all, its on them.
At what point is the FBI to step in? Its not like they just randomly walked up to people and said, hey your participating, or forceing people. The people involved were willing participants. This is simply proactive policing by the FBI. Had these people not gotten involved they would not have been arrested. The FBI simply floats the idea around and snag the people that migrate to it and are willing to do the terrorist act giving them a reason for arrest and incarceration. I see nothing wrong with this.
3. North Carolina has an RPS -- a Renewable Portfolio Standard. Most states do. The utilities are required to purchase enough certificates so that X% of their retail sales have accompanying certificates, each of which represents 1 MWh of renewably-produced electricity. Apple's equipment will generate these, and Apple will sell them on the market to the utilities, generating even more revenue.
Trust me this is not a profitable venture.
You are missing the point. What I am saying is apple is doing this because they can, not that they want to have to or really care about it, or will use it after it is installed.
Burning biogas is indeed not new, but causes the need for maintenance on most generators. This is due to the fact the fuel is not cleaned before being burned. Causing the intake runners on the generators to need to be removed and descaled bi-weekly. It has also been found this by-product contained high levels of arsenic.
They might be really trying to use this for some power, but its more likely just for show. I'm sure at the first sign of trouble the jump to the utility or diesel generators. I don't understand why companies are dumping so much money into new and possibly unreliable tech for a data center they want 100% up time on. They would be better off, using low power lighting and better cooling tech, and other low power solutions. Think about how much extra equipment they have to buy and maintan, On top of the industry standard of UPS, with battery/generator back up they have to buy and maintain, solar panels/batteries and crap powered fuel cells, which tend to have problems due to the dirty fuel.
The failure of NASA, speaks to a much deeper issue growing in US culture. People only care that it works, not how or why it works, and make no effort to understand. This is also why the US is falling behind as the world leader in tech.
This is the same thing that causes us to buy cheap products from china, that break, and instead of fixing them, we just buy more. It makes me sad.
This is also a great way/price for people to get into building and operating clusters. I plan on dropped 200 and building a 8 system cluster, just for fun.
http://www.pelican-case.com/ If you break it they replace it. They are awesome and water proof cases. Just build you system inside, something happens, close the door. Done.
I think in a few years we will see netflix style "or a better organized company" come out that will have full access and stream all TV shows past and present. No longer will you have to wait and see what is on, or have to use a DVR or be limited to a small amount of media on netflix/Amazon style systems, but contain huge amounts of media, from sports to shows. The user will just pick what you want to watch say "MacGyver" or "Mama's Family" and watch it, all of them. It would hosts everything from odd news broadcasts, sporting events, everything. Think about how much money is being wasted by the owners of content due to lack of distribution or networks that simply don't want to air them. This was they get X amount per viewing. Free money.
Then when a new episode is created it will simply be added to the lists at a given date and time.
This would also given better feedback about what shows are popular and what shows aren't.
Say $30 dollars with commercials.
$120 commercial free access?
Agreed, If you look hard enough for something, you will find it everywhere. That's all this is. Someone looking for an excuse to promote huge government stimulus and spending. The difference here is WWII. Unless you have that special set of circumstances this data is meaningless to make that argument.
Just in case you are wondering here is the 216 digit number:

Conversation between TSA and reporter.
TSA:You really don't want to run that story about the billions wasted on ineffective airport body scanners. On a side note I hear Guantanamo Bay is nice this time of year, me and the wife are thinking of taking a trip.
Reporter: Don't I have constitutional rights of free speech and what not.
TSA: Don't worry about that. I mean, we ignored them when we put the scanners in anyway, didn't we.
Reporter: Oh yeah.

That wouldn't in itself justify a search warrant. But can give you a target to look into further.
There are many levels between war and peace. I never said the world was at war, but it's not at peace.
What is your supporting evidence that the rest of the world is living in peace? Syria? Libya? North Korea? Iran? Or some combination of all of them?

I tried to email you, but your email address doesn't appear to divisible by 8. Fail.
Indeed, hence the failure and the mindset of the failure. I would gladly by American made, but I can't find any.

My poor brothers across the pond. I can only imagine your pain. Blue and swollen pain.
A pure content provider. Once they get enough viewers they will have bargaining power. Something they lack now.

So I'm thinking the poor thing is just going to get overheated, give up, and die like the rest of his kind did. Korean short ribs anyone?
