    The DMCA is good law in any nation. We need zero tolerance policies toward DMCA violators, or any law breakers for that matter who are not in the ruling class. The law enforcement officers have every right to wear whatever kind of boots they want, use any weapons they want (including nuclear, chemical, and biological), and any tactics they want to enforce the law and to stop terrorists like this Winston Smith character. We need special camps for subjects who disobey.


    Be prepared, violator. You spelled DMCA with majuscules and I AM SURE you used the shift key -see my sig- insted of CAPS LOCK wich is the correct, non-DMCA circunvention-device way.

    of copy protection. It involves not placing the CD in the CD-ROM. If you tell anyone that this can be circumvented by placing the CD in the CD-ROM, I'll DMCA your ass.

    This post uses the CAPS LOCK since the shift key is a circumvention device.

    If you cant trust your IT department, install an internal firewall(just for you)

    Authentication (smthing you know and smthing you have = smartcard) Contact smartcard vendors (Gemplus, etc.) and they will be happy to help you.

    Securely taking files home is like securely taking a nuclear device home. This does not exist... Either be "completely" secure or do not allow this...

    Not depending on a single person to keep a secret is tricky:
    you may try somthing like this: each engineer changes the password every week and encodes it in a way it takes, dunno, 1 week to break. So, if he gets abducted by aliens, it will onky take 1 week to recover his password...

    I mean, it's just a stupid OK button... If they said "Active Content Flash Plugin about to be loaded" then Yes or No it would make much more sense...
