SCOX is probably only rising as the senior traders are on holiday and the juniors think they see a chance to make a quick buck and a name for themselves buy trading SCOX.
Wait till the summers over - things'll get back to normal then.
"SCO says it discovered the e-mails in a mountain of documents IBM produced in discovery related to SCO's lawsuit against IBM over the Linux operating system. "
No espionage involved.
It's all FUD tho.
"Indeed, SCO says the company's biggest investor, BayStar Capital, has been pushing SCO to drop its Unix business altogether and simply become a litigation machine, bringing intellectual property-related lawsuits. But SCO insists it remains committed to selling Unix software--when it's not busy fighting people in court."
The same Baystar that claims that SCO must return its investment as SCO has been misleading them?
With the rumours of Cisco interested in buying Nortel and the Canadian government may well be motivated to step in if theres a chance that Cisco would pull out of the Canadian market AFTER acquiring Nortel.
Wether downloading an mp3 of the ad version of a track would be illegal.
How does copyright apply to a advertisement that is designed to reach as many people as possible and create a "cool track meme" just to get the track purchased.
"You're listening to K U D D radio. Don't touch that dial its got kudd on it!"
OK almost an MCSE (only 1 design left too take - so sue me:-D).
Been supporting windows networks since nt4 was released. Taking the MCSE simply cos I have to support it day in day out.
Of recent improvements only the run as option and the gpo software control have an real use.
I love returning home to my gentoo laptop and my slackware server. I keep a win2k pc for gaming and thats it.
Linux is better suited to the corporate desktop and I'd be so much happier supporting a Linux only network environment.
Its ridiculous having to pay MS for CALs when all you want is storage and samba will more than suffice. It's better than NFS but MS are giving away Services for Unix with an NFS client. Why use a Windoze server for anything other than glorified LDAP/DNS boxes. And you can do that in a *nix environment.
Still Windoze admins are cheaper and more plentifull than *nix admins so who can blame ignorant employers for going doze??
Just to add that although anti-bacterials are loosing effectiveness, bacterio-phages (microbes that specifically attack the type of bacteria) are highly effective.
The only drawback is that you need to specifically target the phage to the type of bacteria.
It'd be a interesting to see how many/.er's would be willing to pay for tcp/ip.
Patenting a secured version which, if it took off, could conceivably own the entire secure IPv4 infrastructure, would mean that Cisco could force every non secure IPv4 client to pay a royalty to access a secure ipv4 network.
Soon every developer/hardware manufacturer would have to pay Cisco to use their version of TCP/IP to communicate with their systems.
Granting patents to companys for this sort of technology is akin to drug dealers giving away enough free samples untill the user is hooked then charging massively for something they can't do without.
Young galaxys may be formed around the black hole nucleus of ancient dispersed super massive objects (quasars, collapsed galaxys, gamma ray bursters, who knows?!?)
This may give them sufficient mass to appear to invalidate current galaxy formation theory.
Also this theory could be the result of too much beer.
Lack of detection could be down to the size of the final detector.
If it's in a layered cooling system it must be significantly smaller than neutrino detectors which are vast vats of heavy water. Even then they detect relatively few neutrino interactions.
If WIMPS are much less commonplace than neutrinos (which we get bathed in) then detecting them in a smaller container is going to be difficult.
I remember reading about this some time ago.
IIRC the denser matter is pulled towards the centre of the proto system.
A close binary/hot jupiter causes large tidal effects that prevent other bodies forming.
Anything that forms further out is made up of the lighter material.
I'd be interested in the views of any planetary formation specialists.
Sharing your entire hard drive by default?
C$ anyone ???
LOL that's an excellent point!

Groklaw has a much more detailed article.
/. was first to post the news. :P
But then I'd be very surprised if
Damn thats such a good line I made it my sig!
Yep.
Those Sax-Cobergs were hardly pure blood English.
Come to that its been many a year since the English Monarch was actually English.
Lies damn lies and statistics!
However I intend to staple this survey to my CV and tailor the music I like section acording to the job I'm after.
In the last few years Odeon has lost market share to multiplex cinemas.
...?)
10 years ago they were one of the market leaders.
IMHO Odeon are a fading star. This is just an attempt to raise their public profile.
Any publicity is better than no publicity! (S. Melmoth

Did you install firefox 0.8 in the default directory?
:-(
If not then the installer doesn't know where to look for the bookmarks.
The Mozilla developers really should have fixed this by now
IP over quantum entangled pairs?
:-D
3ms is probably too slow then.
OK almost an MCSE (only 1 design left too take - so sue me :-D).
/end rant :-D

True very little is fixed by algae. However there is massively more surface area that can be covered in this way.
That being said I'd dearly love to see our hills and vales covered in forest.
I also agree 100% that all rainforest clearance should be stopped.
WCSII - pronounced wiskey??
mmmmmmmm
On on a windows cluster a terrorbyte :-D
A device to remove CO2 from the atmosphere that has a very low construction cost.
That'd be vegetation then?
You could conceivable seed vast areas of ocean with algae to fix CO2.
It'd probably choke of vast amounts of marine life tho.
*dead weight* ...?
That's really going to encourage volunteer passengers :-D
OB Douglas Adams quote
So long and thanks for all the fish!
Anyway communication != comprehension
We can communicate with dolphins upto a point its just we can't comprehend their vocalisations and most likely they can't comprehend ours.

Small rant
The comparison chart linked to in the article points to planmaker -> windows -> comparison.
/me decides to wait.
The linux version is still listed as beta and expires June 1 and there is no visual comparison of the Linux version with excel.
The windows version is listed as final beta.
Sooo basically it's not finished/ready for full release yet.
