    I upgraded my laptop last night, and I'm getting the old psmouse.c: PS/2 mouse at serio0 lost synchronization, throwing 2 bytes away which is annoying as hell. Mouse goes nuts and clicks on stuff I don't want to click on (no, please don't log me off now). I'm turning off more and more stuff, but no solution yet. Bleh.

    NB, one change on UK currency in recent years is a copyright notice. That stops people claiming "I didnt know" when they get prosecuted.

    Allowing people to produce counterfeit currency is unethical. Period.

    So is allowing them to print pictures of child pornography, no? How about pictures of people being tortured? Or fake passports? Or the Coca-Cola logo?

    They have since been FORCED (perhaps by capitalism) to donate a lot of money to helping conserve the environment.

    Wonderful. It'd be nice if they'd pay for the cleanup costs for Valdez. But who's gonna force them to do that, the President?

    US currency has fluorescent dots and foil features, along with metal strips embedded in the notes (which I would imagine is a hell of a lot better at foiling the casual counterfeiter than changing the print colours).

    The response from TdR shouldn't be "it's just a crash." It should be, "Man, we screwed up! It will be fixed right away. Good thing there seems to be no way to execute code."

    takes 6 hours for a full emerge on an XP 2000+, half a gig of good RAM. And look into distcc. It doesn't work too well with KDE, but it certainly speeds everything else up. Everybody whines about how Gentoo sucks because you have to compile everything, but that doesn't matter too much when you have a 6.4 GHz processor.

    Same with the military - People just don't put forth the effort required to make breakthroughs like this without some greater need (national protection or God).

    The 50-million-dollar-an-hour budget doesn't have anything to do with it, right?
