    I was five minutes from buying memory from these clowns when I discovered that site. It boggles my mind that they're still in business, but I check back every couple of weeks to see what new colourful language is being used ("It's like two people running a business out of their bedroom or something.").

    People get pedantic insisting that 'data' be used as a plural in English, but the same people never use 'agenda' as a plural.

    Agenda hasn't been used as a plural since the 19th Century. That might have something to do with it.

    Well, until they can provide alternatives for all of the open-source products I use, I don't think Windows is ready for the desktop.

    It's not eBay; they've actually surprised me in that respect. To date, I haven't had a single spam (and where there's one, there's a million) on the address I use. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I doubt it.

    It doesn't _hurt_ to enable the MAC address protection though.

    It's next to useless. It doesn't hurt, but it doesn't help. If somebody's cracking your WEP key, MAC addressing isn't even going to slow them down.

    And if they are stupid enough to hijack your MAC while you are using it (and to figure out the MAC they'd first have to break the WEP),

    Not true. You can get the client MACs within seconds, without cracking anything.

    Takes about two minutes to check one network against their dictionary list, slightly longer for more, so you can really do both. Dictionary while you're waiting for airsnort, just in case.

    DEADBEEFF00D is a good one. Actually, if you do something like grep -iv [ghjkmnpqru-z] /usr/shareorwhatevah/words, you can get a decent list (4300-ish), with typical leeto substitutions ('5' for 'S' etc.).
