Here are some movies made in the recent past (last couple years) that may not disappoint you. (The links are to the movie reviews). You should probably be able to rent these DVDs (with subtitles in English - ask for it)from an Indian video store in your city (if it has one). Most store managers would be glad to order these for you if they don't have them readily available.
Undoubtedly one of the best technical books that has ever been written.
From the review:
perhaps donating the 2nd edition to the local church library can wait.
Also, if you happen to have the first edition of the book (or if you happen to lay your hands on one) don't give it away either. (Note: UNIX Network Programming, first edition was only a single volume edition). The first edition had an entire chapter on printer spooler application, which was not included in the second edition. (Please correct me if I am wrong...the application was definitely not in Vol I of second ed, but might have been included in Vol II, although I remember having looked for it in the 2nd edition and not finding it...I had to dig out a copy of the first edition from a Motorola warehouse...)
How about using binary equivalents instead of decimal?....even include a (2) subscript. And then get audited! Hmm...101110111000000...thats pretty close to what I made last year...not bad, eh??

the installer for Firefox 0.9 on Linux strongly recommends that I exit all Windows programs??? Don't believe me? Look here...
Astitva (Existence)
Teen Deewarein (3 Doors)
Bhavandar (The Sandstorm)
Kanathil Muthamittal (This one is not a Bollywood movie, but an Indian movie nevertheless).
Oh please! Who the hell moderated the parent up? Can't anyone see what he is doing???
Each of the ones I've looked at has a problem (lightly/poorly maintained, scalability problems, lack of internationalization, awkward API).
Good luck convincing him to go Open Source!
J & R Music and Computer World has a 10 GB Apple iPod for $283.99. I know this isn't the greatest of rebates... :-(
