Since when is Lycoris a MAJOR Linux Distribution? I'm fammilar with and have personally installed and used Debian, Red-Hat, Gentoo, Slackware, Amiga-Linux, Fedora, SuSE, College-Linux, Mandrake, and Lindows/Linspire but I've never even heard of Lycoris before...
My first computer, ever, cost $150. It was only a 1 year old model and it only cost $300 on the day it was initially released in 1982. Thats right, it was a Commodore VIC-20. It had a built in BASIC compiler, 16 colors (when $1,000 computers still used monochrome), and it even had 3 voice sound when $1,000 computers sometimes couldn't even go "beep". It was light-years ahead of the competition, except for its lack of RAM (only 5K). However it was expandable to 32K for less than $100 while the $1,000 computers only came with 16K and were sometimes not even expandable at all.
I call bull on this story because it is FAR from the first time that a sub-$300 computer that is on-par with more expensive computers has been released.
So the words GNAA GNAA GNAA worked like a charm, huh? Yeah, I'm pretty sure simple text works on any AthlonXP system. Pre-cracked? Why would you want a text document to be cracked?
Britney is easier on the eyes than Bill...or Steve
Obviously, you've never seen Britney Spears without her makeup on! I'd take Bill or Steve any day after seeing what that wench looks like when she wakes up in the morning.
njcoder, Don't pay attention to Mr. Record Store Owner. He's an industry lackey who posts the exact same story for every Slashdot report on anything to do with music or file-sharing.
Much larger companies didn't take this long to die with simmilar losses even though they had much higher revenue. Commodore for example fell due to simmilar losses in the single digit millions but they were making revenue in the single digit BILLIONS!
If Commodore couldn't handle long-term $2 Million losses with a total revenue over $1 Billion, what makes you think you can handle it with less than $10 Million in revenue, SCO? Just die already!
$900 isn't a significant price difference unless its a used car. Depending on your negotiating skills, the price of a car may differ by a few thousand dollars for a brand new car at a dealership.
I thought Slashdot readers would be interested WRONG!! BOOOOOOoooooOOooOOOring!
Wow, Slashdotters wouldn't be interested in learning how to program and Slashdotters aren't interested in open source software and Slashdotters aren't interested in money?
WOW, That really IS news to me! I thought Slashdotters liked all of the above.
I think it was Anandtech who did these tests when SLI first game out, using the latest nVidia card with Doom 3 back then at highest settings. 8x PCIe had no drop from 16x PCIe, neither did 4x PCIe. 2x PCIe had a 10% drop and 1x PCIe had a 25% drop.
"For the time being", I think 16x PCIe is doing "just fine".
Crossfire is apparently scalable to 32 GPU's. So it probably won't be unheard of for graphics cards using Crossfire to have 2 or 3 GPU's and if you use dual graphics cards that means you could have a total of 4 or 6 GPU's balancing the load of a future game of Doom 4 or Half-Life 3!
Earth to smart-ass. The full name of the "US" is "The United States of America". The Word "America" is not located in the full name of any nation located in either North America or South America.
This is simmilar to how people from Great Britain are not Greatians, they are British!!
Would you prefer people in the US were called USians? or Statsians? or Unitians? No, their freaking Americans!
People from Mexico are Mexians. People from Canada are Canadians. People from Brazil are Brazilians. People from Colombia are Colombians. People from Cuba are Cubans. People from France are French!
This is a most joyous day (with the exception of all of you out there who were hoarding broadcast flag free video capture cards). Not only is this a minor step in preventing draconian governmental controls (you only can record what WE say you can!) but it is a significant step in protecing consumer rights!!!
July 1, 2005 will no longer to be the day of dread all of us nerds have feared, it shall henceforth be a day of celebration. Nerds everywhere will be required to drink highly caffinated beverages and play dungeons and dragons... while they RECORD any show they want to!!!
My Grandma is a serious hardcore Trekker. When the original series was playing on Friday nights she would refuse to go out and if any of the kids would talk during the show they would be in for the beating of a lifetime.

MOD PARENT DOWN! That nfo file belongs to the copy that just repeats the words GNAA GNAA GNAA ad infinitum. I wish I could find a real copy.
So the words GNAA GNAA GNAA worked like a charm, huh? Yeah, I'm pretty sure simple text works on any AthlonXP system. Pre-cracked? Why would you want a text document to be cracked?
the .nfo file claims that the file is real. However, there's still a strong possibility that its a fake.
Release: MAC OS X "Tiger" Filename: tiger-x86-xiso.iso
Strangely enough however, it claims the minimum requirements is 133MHZ/128MB RAM/1GB HD which would indicate that its a fake.
All Athlon64's include SSE2. The newest Athlon64's even include SSE3. What are you even talking about?
Where did you download it from? HUH HUH HUH?!?!?
Yikes, those protestors are so ugly they should have grey goo thrown onto them. Being eaten alive by nanobots might make them look better.
In Soviet Russia, Beowulf Clusters run Linux on YOU!

You FUCKTARD! This was the 10th time this story has been posted.
STOP POSTING THE SAME STORY OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
You record industry piece of shit.

AAAAAAAAH!!!!! Its the creature from Doom 3!! Everybody run for your life!!!!
I thought gamma ray bursts and the resulting creation of a black hole were the result of Hyper-Novas not from the merger of two neutron stars.
And people who don't back up anything they say and make fun of a 5 year old website post as Anonymous Coward. Because you are a Coward.
