I think the point is that a lot of people just want a device to consume media on. An iPhone is too small to do so. A computer has multiple purposes. I think a lot of people only use the computer for consumption and that's where the iPad will find it's market.
I called GoDaddy and they told me "we're having network issues. We've been having them for a while. I don't know when they'll be fixed but they should be soon." My site is now resolving ( http://wrongplanet.net/ ) but it wasn't resolving when i called. He didn't say anything about daylight savings time and some of my other domains with godaddy had no problems.
I ran into this dilemma after Wrong Planet got slashdotted for an interview with Bram Cohen. I've had to hire a professional publicist and contract out freelancers to help me code. Managing a big site like yours really is hard but the hardest part is getting people to go to the site. Congratulations on your succcess. Your dilemma is what many would call a "high quality problem."
I wrote a review more than a month ago and submitted it to slashdot. The problem I had with Gmail was that I was used to having my mail locally, so I could read it no matter what. Google didn't offer an imap or even pop3 option.
I'm now getting my masters at George Mason University and I don't believe there's a single Linux machine on campus. In fact, the whole Computer Science department has only two Sun servers to offer me an account on! Everything else is Microsoft!
All of the Computer Labs in the Science and Technology buildings at George Mason dual boot WinXP and Red Hat Linux. However, Windows is usually what you see when you go into the computer labs since most people don't know how to reboot the computer and select a different operating system from GRUB.
The Sea Launch consortium, which unites four companies from the United States, Russia, Ukraine and Norway, was established in 1995, and first rocket launched in 1999. It is managed by Boeing, with participation from other shareholders.
It's interesting that these countries are working together with Boeing.
I think games need to be designed with large monitors in mind for this to improve the gaming experience drastically.
I don't think that driving the displays in a LAN configuration would be good for the refresh rate, but I may be wrong.
Something I really want is a G5 with dual 30 inch Cinema displays. That's probably the best configuration as each of those two monitors supports the resolution of about 3 of your cheap 17" LCDs. We may have to wait for Intel Duo powermacs to get your windows games to work, however.
By the way, Wolfenstein Enemy Territory is fun on Dual displays and it is free for Linux, Windows, AND Mac, so that'd be a good option.
Q. It wasn't true. And you felt that Mr. Krichbaum was trying to get you to say something that wasn't true?
It seems like the interviewer is the one telling the girl what's true and what isn't. "It wasn't true" doesn't sound like a question to me. Although I'm sure the RIAA has done stuff much worse than this.
What is your favorite development platform? Your most promising browser platforms seem to be mobile. What do you plan to do in the future in terms of supporting more platforms (mobile, or other)?
And people can also stop going to the website because of the tendency of its developers, administrators and editors to create scenes that devolve into a circus.
I used to edit the site (I'm actually an administrator on wikibooks and meta) because I was interested in the content I was writing about, but I left because people (including administrators) resorted to preschool antics of trying to humiliate each other in order to try to discredit each other.
After I left the site, I started my own website where I control the content (I no longer write most of it, however). Now I make hundreds of dollars in adsense revenue each month and I get to take credit for my work and have people respect me for it.
my question... will phone calls to windowsupdate be free? or will package minutes apply. i might need to up my plan.
Verizon packages an unlimited data plan with its smartphones so data doesn't use minutes and the phone will always be connected (as long as there is a tower near you).
umm symantec has released security products for mac.... ever heard of :
Norton AntiVirus for Macintosh 10.0

Lots of high schools have really bad teachers who basically teach their algebra classes as if they were a "learn to punch things into a calculator but not understand what happens" class. Students don't really have an option as to who their teacher is and even then, some school systems make this type of thing go on uniformly. When people try to go up in higher level college math, they're fucked.

This is kind of like Mobile RSS.
By the time I downloaded the RSS feed, they had already fixed the title (I download in 15 minute intervals).
No third world country has better net access. Now who's using hyperbole? :-P
Seriously though, the US has horrible internet access, even in college.
Vista? What's that? Get an Intel Duo laptop with OS X!
:-P
I wonder if apple would ever use a centrino, though... I doubt it.
I think the snail and the bunny still apply to centrinos.

According to Wikipedia, this rocket is the result of The Sea Launch Consortium.

What you might say in WoW often differs from what you would hear in CS: Source
What I hear tends to be the voice of a pre-pubescent teenager, although thats on TS.
Wow, I can't decide if this might be more embarrassing than when they sued a stone-dead grandma.

This is a dupe! Instead of going to this dupe, go to my website: http://www.wrongplanet.net/

Ummm.... google earth works on OS X. I have a beta of it and I haven't noticed any bugs, other than the fact that it uses a little too much CPU....

Wow, this animation is soooooooooooo old. here is the actual site this came from.
Wall Street != TheStreet.com AFAICT.
Apple caches podcasts on their site so you're really just downloading the podcasts from the apple site.
When Daniel Robbins sold his soul to you, did he also try to sell you to a tshirt from his, err I mean gentoo's, store?
