So let me get this straight. Their satellite fries and they just transfer everyone over to unused bandwidth on their other satellites. Then they declare a $73 million dollar loss on their taxes. Does this fall into fiscal 2004 or 2005?
Do any of you guys run dual monitors on your Macs? I'm guessing it won't be possible on the Mini but is there a lower end Mac that will take a dual out video card?
They can call the shortcut anything they want. Just call the desktop icon Firefox Internet. Problem solved. (Except that the other browser comes pre-installed on everyone's Windows machine.)
Didn't these "Real-Networks Customers" throw down $400 on an I-Pod?

Yeah yeah... ha ha ha. I guess you have never played a game of BF1942 where you are trying to fly your plane with a keyboard and mouse while the jerk chasing you is flying with some $150 wing commander pro joystick. It sucks, trust me. Having a controller advantage throws the game balance out of wack and makes it rediculously easy to wipe out the other players. Now pardon me while I go find a light gun for my pc.
On most if not all of the servers I play on (BF1942) the admins have automatic controls installed. If you swear or whatever you get warned or kicked automatically. Besides rivalries between players is what makes an online game fun. If you don't want to interact play the single player version.
Here is a little experiment. I went to EXPN.com and tried to watch a video from their site with various browsers:
Opera 7.51 - Clicked the video link and got a pop-up with a grey box that said 'Click'. Clicked the box which directed me to the real site to download a plugin. I clicked the link and Opera crashed.
Mozilla Firefox - Clicked the video link and ended up with a grey box that said 'After installing the plug in click here'. I clicked around a bit and got sent to a Netscape plugins page. Netscape's page found the plugin for me. I clicked the download link and it sent me to a real.com page. "Download Now US$19.95"
Netscape 6.2.1 - Ended up with a grey box that says 'click here to get the plugin'. I click it and it opens a pop-up window so I click [get the plugin]. A blank window opens to the same page on the Netscape site that Mozilla sent me to and it shows a link to the plugin. I click to download and get sent to the real.com site. "Download Now US$19.95" Closing this window opens up another pop-up from Real.
IE 5.5 - Click the link and it opens up the video and starts playing it.
I get the same kind of thing with Quicktime and Media Player as well. I basically only use IE when I need a plugin to work but it would be nice not to have to.
There are so many of these toolbars for IE out now. Has anyone tried installing all of them? Is it possible to push the content off the page and completely fill the screen with toolbars?
why is this post still modded up this high?
1. where in CS or BF can you look up another players IP address? i guess in your scenario Player A is either hosting his own BF server at a cyber cafe so as the admin he can see player IPs, or maybe Player B is hosting his own server at his cafe... ok.
2. lets just say for the sake of argument that Player B has found out Player A's IP. he checks out the IP he somehow got and finds this information:
OrgName: Shaw Communications Inc.
OrgID: SHAWC
Address: Suite 800
Address: 630 - 3rd Ave. SW
City: Calgary
oh no! please don't "Frag" me. too bad for you that i don't live anywhere near Calgary or even in the same time zone.
3. Player B doesn't go to Calgary... he instead psychically guesses where i am located and walks in. he asks the manager "which one of these people is ['\_MuRda_KiLlA_/']". somehow i don't think the manager know how exactly to answer that question. he'll probably say something like "huuuu?".
if you are going to come up with some rationalization at least make it plausible.

Way to repeat some one else's joke, poorly, and still get modded up for it! Congrats.

Maybe you haven't noticed but this article isn't about iPod or Apple, although you'd obviously very much like it to be.
Who needs spellcheckers when we have people like you? Ever thought to comment on the content of the previous post instead of the method of delivery?
You'll leap onto any excuse to talk about your toys won't you?

That's a GAMING network cable.
