Five pentathalon athletes to be precise. perhaps you ment 5 pentathlon athletes... but that would have copyright issues nowadays, and nerds aren't typically that good of athletes
Having the machines sign the votes is precisely the idea. the machines sign the votes to say that that vote came from that machine. the people voting don't sign anything
Is not the human brain itself a "recording device"?
indeed it is (and an interesting point), but try transferring what you've recorded to another person. words are not precise enough, and even if you could do it with mathematics, neither option has enough throughput for the entire movie.
If they wanted to stop murders they should've stopped the sale of guns, tools, cars, manufacturing equipment, wire, electricity, and harmful liquids (like gasoline and sulfuric acid). they should also take windows out of buildings over 1 story and remove all large stones from the earth. because the most blatantly obvious use of the above would be to kill people. hold on...
/me slaps you what if i want to legally record something? a friend at school started a band, so i took along my minidisc player and got a copy of his song. i'm very glad that the record function is there. now if i use the same device to bootleg a concert, then i should be punished. see?
this is grand and all, but i run my own mailserver (merely to get a 5gig inbox and the username i want), and since it's on a residential cable line (dynamic address), aol, rr.com, and email.com all reject my e-mails. and no, i never send spam. spammers aren't the only ones being blocked by spam prevention
cause it's all eye candy the nextstep os was wonderful, and parts of it are in os x... right now i'm using windowmaker (on freebsd:)) it's a free derivative of the openstep gui, and really cool. also, the nextstation was built to support nextstep, and your laptop was built to support os 9, not os x
what's wrong with an all-in-one box? you can still upgrade stuff, it's just a laptop mobo in a monitor case with a modified power supply
Until then, it's just a hobby.
tell that to the engineers who work at a large corporation
math serves many useful purposes... sports serve none other than excercise. please don't defile math by associating it with sports
err... part of gnustep which is a clone of openstep... sorry
NeXT was (and is) amazing... object oriented code base and networking (10baseT at that) in 1986or7.. amazing
take a look at windowmaker for a gnu clone of the gui (part of openstep)
And isnt sound just a pressure wave?
there's no pressure to vibrate in the vacuum of space.

i think you meant centicreds
in fact, root_squash is now on by default (in linux and freebsd... idk about the others)
