you still need the adaptor that goes into the device itself to allow the device to recharge from the pad.
the problem with only having one adaptor for everything is that many things use different voltages (and have differing current requirements, but you could just overbuild it for that)
they've tried to make online annotation methods collaborative with groupboards and the like, although on the whole i find that computers are clumsy for operating on most things other than typeable text (and maybe some simple image stuff)
a thin client would do the job better (i think), but it would cost more and it wouldn't be original
or building a computer with silence as a goal from the start, but that too is expensive.
optimally with the thin client thing you'd have enough server disk space to save the isos of all the cds you regularly use and loopback mount them so you don't have to use the thin client's cdrom drive
you might also want to search for "in ear monitors", those are the earbuds musicians use on stage, but lots of other people use them now too... some can take the noise outside ~30db down
how insulting. do not name anyone's generation after an overhyped consumer media player, that's just low. i'm fine with netter, y, whatever, but ipod is most certainly not acceptable.
i'd like to walk up to some reporter who says/writes that trash and slap him saying "i have a minidisc player you dolt!"
...
and i'm spent.
(just to clarify i wouldn't slap anyone, but it's that annoying)
personally, i don't eat at mcdonald's; i like to cook my own food (it's kind of fun, sort of like chem in some ways). i walk to school and back, and when i need to buy a car (probably after grad school), i'm going to go for something high mileage-- if only because i dislike high recurring payments. i'm still developing my moral standards, but i am working on it. as for the politicians it seems that the people who desire positions of power are the exact same ones who shouldn't have them. such is the case in many many countries and the UN. as a start i'd like to see a third party establishing the wages and benefits of congress... maybe have people vote on how well of a job their representatives are doing... but you know that bill would never pass. it would create quite a stir if it was publicised though..
and man, we need to start producing useful items for people instead of pushing around green pieces of paper. i hope to start a business after i finish school and establish myself, but for now i'll be writing web applications and building things for myself.
i run 2.4 on my web"server" (it's a p1 200), and 2.6 on my dad's ibook (it's older, dual boots gentoo and os 9) and my workstation, which is about a year old. i like 2.4 on the server because i don't have to update it much (same goes for apache 1.3.x and php 4.x), and the last bzImage i made was 493k:)
i just rebooted the server for a ram upgrade and general cleaning, but before that it was up 54 days. i don't want to have to move the server duties to my workstation or my dad's laptop because they released a security fix and i must reboot to put it in. on the other computers this matters not, and i use 2.6 for the hightened hardware support and enhanced performance (they've got graphs you know)
nope, he didn't use excel (this is a good thing imo, excel is a pain since we write down the results as we get them from our measurements, and transcribing them would just be more work), but chemical modeling software would have rocked out. maybe i'll mention the idea to him next year (it's really good, thanks).
my math teacher was contemplating finding some graphing software that he could use to show conic rotations, but both teachers ended up using physical models.
using tech to teach is one way to show its usefulness, but if more teachers started using it to do other parts of their work, that might help too. classes like cad and programming are big helps in this regard
the parts are all much easier to obtain than nuclear fuel

an in-office irc server would be kind of neat
or something like it...

"But if something goes wrong, who they gonna call?"
ghost busters!
check out some heavily plot driven comics. i highly recommend vendetta, pointless, and fallen.
for what it's worth, my soldering iron is 15 watts, and it does an excellent job of burning appendages
i think being a teacher of some sort would be a good job
since i like math i'm planning on going into that... hope it works out
"Fencing is not a legal activity."
En garde!
i'm partial to graphing paper myself, it's something else to consider
definitely further progression
that is cool

ok, just buy the bose speakers; your predilections will thank you.
then why won't they license os x to run on non-apple hardware?
or maybe that is the risk -- keeping the os on known hardware to make it integrate better, but at the cost of sales.
i think i'll stick to linux on the pc though, cheaper and more configurable

i'll bet it felt good to get that off your chest

while i've never tried shooting clay pigeons drunk, it certainly sounds like a thoroughly enjoyable way to relieve stress

or even use a compact flash to ide adaptor and the biggest cf card you can reasonably afford as a hard disk. great if you have a minimal linux install
