Bullshit. AI will be achieved when a computer actually does something intelligent. So far they just run programs.

Playing games is NOT AI. Playing Chess, Go, whatever IS NOT AI. It is just running programs.

No kidding. There is no such thing as "AI". AI is in the same state as it was in the 1960s: non-existent. But you add a voice synthesizer to a database lookup table and people suddenly thing AI is a thing. And no: "neural nets" are not AI either (and they have been around a long time).

What you should so is ask one some of the security contractors/employees how they got their jobs. Then do what they did. For example they might have gone for Cisco security track first and skipped the other certifications. But good idea getting in IT security.

Don't believe the hype: the Surface is an abject failure. They AREN'T SELLING. Have you ever seen one in public? Nope. But cue the people who will claim "I have one" or "we all use them at work". Sure you do.

"you can do anything and be anything in life". No you can't. It is the worst lie to tell a child.

  21. Tell you what: try that on Earth FIRST.

  22. "We have this thing called "technology" that allows us to do pretty much anything we want once it's figured out."

And...that is the crux of the Space Nutter mindset. No, that is 100% incorrect. Just because you have an iPhone doesn't mean that you are going to Mars.

  23. I tell you what: build a floating colony in the sky on Earth FIRST to see if that idea works. It won't.

  24. What? The difference in temperature is minimal between the two areas. You fell into the common trap: since one thing is possible, all things must be possible. Mars is nothing like the Earth. Nothing. Imagine living in the bottom of the sea, or on the North Pole. That is paradise compared to Mars. Just because you can run to the end of your block doesn't mean you can run a marathon either.
