In order to share information you need to know the endpoints on the network in order to route the data to them. This is really unpopular, but there is NO WAY to make a network anonymous. Tor isn't anonymous, the exit nodes need to know where the endpoints are.

Do you think journalists who are downloading the files are viewing them in a VM sandbox? Most likely they are now infected with malware. If you visit Wikileaks then you are likely going there to get these files. Most people who read those files are going to get infected because most people aren't going to take precautions.
