Back in August 2005 I bought a new Compaq Presario C2310CA laptop. It worked fine for a couple of days and then - battery broken. Good thing I bought a two year extended warranty from Staples because I can now get my laptop replaced on the spot instead of going through HP.

Do analysts ever consider the revenue for the next year when eBay takes over Verisign payments be lower than expected? If I was a merchant, I wouldn't have any ties with Paypal. If I had an account with Verisign, I would be looking for another merchant provider such as Moneris to protect my business.
Paypal doesn't bring any value to those processing credit card payments. I am not saying it because it seems to be the norm these days bashing Paypal, but the fact of the matter is Paypal has conflict of interests everywhere. Merchant providers are supposed to be in favor of the merchant and the bank's credit card business is in the favor of the cardholder. Paypal likes to be bank and provider at the same time.
Lastly, Paypal already offering merchant services. Paypal is simply buying customers to add to their existing clientel. I see a lot of former Verisign merchants leaving.
Recently I started a contract job through a consulting firm. This is quite new to me because it's not like a normal temp agency job. The pay is REALLY good, the contract 5-6 months, the full perm opportunity is great, and the people are very nice.
For those who want to be a contractor, I highly recommend going through a consulting agency to hook you up with work. It takes 1/2 the burden off of you while you look for other opportunities.
I am in Canada it's fairly easy to become a contractor here. 90 bucks and you're all setup. Right now, I make more than double than my old job. That's really impressive considering I'm in my 20's.
Wednesday, I start my first contracting position, and I hope all goes well. One thing that soothes me the most is that the company has a 5 to 15 year employee rentention rate.

I too have been a victim of Paypal 2 weeks ago with our 'business'. They limited the account which allowed us to receive payments for merchandise but we could not withdraw the money. They clearly committed fraud by allowing this to happen. I spoke with my Paypal dedicated account manager and go no where in the first few conversations. One morning from my home, I called them again and I ripped right into them for lieing to me saying that payments could not be accepted, blasted them for having unconfirmed buyers, advertising "gaurantees" on our products, how they were committing fraud for allowing payments to come in and not go out, and driving my business into bankruptcy. I finally ended the call, "expect a call from the police.". I called the police and filed a fraud report. By the time I got to my office 2-3 hours later, they unlocked the account with no restrictions.
I suggest to get a Moneris merchant account. They're absolutely awesome.

Person B waits and buys the movie. Total cost = $25.
