You do realize there are company policies regarding such matters, and that any staff member has to abide by them. It is not upto their individual discretion to delete/keep said material.
This is the perfect example of why we need math to be taught in elementary and high schools. Anyone who questions the value of arithmetic in everyday life needs to hear this.

IP forensics is a very useful for fraud detection and prevention, not just click-through fraud but also ecommerce/transaction fraud. Its invaluable to mine through old IP data and detect predictive patterns in fraud.
Also, the MPAA is charging me $15 for DVDs with special features and a two-hour movie. The RIAA is charging you $13 for less than an hour of music and no bonuses.
Not that I'm supporting either organization, but movies get a lot of their revenue from theatre screenings. CDs on the other hand have no such model, and CD sales is the primary revenue-generating model. Both movies and music have similar tie-ins for marketing, advertising etc. so it almost cancels each other out. Just saying that a direct comparison is not entirely accurate...

You say you got interested in CS due to video games. If that's what you want to do professionally - game programming - you *have* to be good at math. Much of the basis in computer graphics is strongly rooted in math.
Of course, if you don't want to get into that field but do application development, then you don't need any more math knowledge than what the basic undergraduate degree will get you.
I think it would help out their customers a lot if they provided a way to verify that a message was actually from Paypal/Ebay. Maybe not everyone would be savvy enough to take advantage of it, but it would be nice for those who knew how it worked.
There is a way... Login to the site and check the "My Messages" section in MyeBay. Every valid email sent to you by eBay will be stored there. Not the most elegant way for message verification but its there:)
The reason for this easy, viz.Windows has 90+ % marketshare. Or perhaps you expect companies to give you priority based on your 10% share of desktop computers?
This would be a great way for independent musicians to sell their music directly to their fans, without giving a "slice of the pie" to the RIAA. At least now, they can be assured of getting a majority of the sale proceeds.
What's interesting to see is that eBay is moving away from "traditional" items and auctions. Now that they're into "Digital Downloads". This promises to be a big headache to maintain though, with eBay already facing so many phishing and spoofing attacks. Do they really want to deal with DRM, RIAA and enforcing legitimate music sales?
Another way of looking at this is that now if I'm a music seller, but want to also buy some music, I'll need to register for another accounts. This is sure to boost the number of registered site users (>100 million IIRC), and will keep the marketing drones happy!
