    Statistical Process Control and Western Digital rule are very applicable here. Without stability for a baseline, it's (pretty well) impossible to utilize small data, much less big data (big bad data:).

    Don't forget ISP consolidation and merger. There used to be many smaller service companies, although that was mostly based on existing telephone lines.

    The point is: I want some people to hear what I say and some people to read what I wrote. That is why I talk to some people out of earshot of others and send letters in sealed envelopes (or the equivalent for modern communications).

    Check out MIL-STD-1760. Part of the reason for its development is the high cost of F35 proprietary weapon and sensor systems' communications and interactions.

    Well, specifically the owner can since he can easily install his own certificate. This allows for the fun game of sending random data to MS as extracted from your wife, pet dog, the homeless guy on the street, etc. Meanwhile he records his own data locally.

    It may make more sense to concentrate on those lower in the list. The works of highly rated authors are likely to remain available anyway whereas those of lower rated authors are more likely to be lost.
        Admittedly, the loss may be deserved, but I am willing to bet there are some (if not many) that will be more highly appreciated in a century or so.

    I doubt that there's enough chocolate in a 3 Musketeers candy bar to boost it much beyond $2; maybe $2.50 if they switch to higher quality chocolate.

    Oh, I agree; restricting speech has to be very carefully considered and continually evaluated based to deal with edge conditions and resulting effects. I was merely pointing out consequences of the stated, proposed limitations. (For example, here in Canada, they had to places special exemptions in the hate speech legislation to allow the Bible and Koran.)

    If there is speech to be banned, it would be best if it were up to me ;)
