Sorry. Nobody wants to die in misery. May be you do. In constant pain, disease, disability, mental decline. I think you are confusing wisdom with age. You can gain experience without aging in the current sense of the word. http://ieet.org/index.php/IEET/more/konovalenko20130227

That may be. The funniest thing is that Unity sucks even more. But still Unity is becoming popular (at least according to TFA).

The best thing I learned from TFA is that someone is developing an incognito version of CyanogenMod. When and if it gets rolled out, the guy deserves to be given money by every privacy-conscious Android user who decides to use it.

In addition, it is not that it didn't happen, or the extent or the rate. In fact even in the past, it was probably caused by the life around then (their metabolism etc). But guess what? A lot of life perished, including probably the causative agents. So it is entirely conceivable that we are causing it, entirely conceivable that it happened before by other living organisms, and conceivable that Antarctica was warm. But the organisms that caused it most likely ended up extinct.

There are plenty of haters of Gandhi in India, who want to discredit him for being in favor of minorities (like Muslims, Christians, untouchables etc). In fact he was killed by such people. There is to this day a sizeable cultural supremacist fraction who believe in using every forum and medium to reduce the respect and effect of Gandhi. Never knew it gained enough international traction to mod the parent a +5 it got. Truly a sad state of affairs.

This. This deserves a +10 mod. I am ok with pat downs. Just make sure they happen in public when everyone is watching. The TSA agents on the groping job that I've met so far were extra polite and careful. Most of the jerks were in the baggage screening. Another thing I never understood is why they do the extra checking of baggage (after they've passed through the X-ray scanner) if I opt for a pat down.

In my opinion it could have been far more convincing. It is not just an "optional" desire to explore the reason we should fund NASA. It is the moral and logical imperative in order to survive as species. For the survival of intelligent species on earth. Larry Niven's line comes to mind: The dinosaurs are extinct because they did not have a space program. We need more telescopes around the earth and Venus to look for incoming small and large objects that can hit earth. And then we need to devise ways to intercept and avoid them. This argument does not make space exploration an optional luxury, but a critical necessity.
