"He's no geek," says Benjamin Choate, a self-trained Linux user living in Logan. "His tan's too good."....
In June 2002, the copper-toned McBride took over the reigns of Caldera, a Linux and UNIX distributor desperately trying to find its place in the Information Technology world.
Gotta love the journalist for poking fun at Darly.
And Linus: When asked if he had any questions to pass along to McBride, Linus Torvalds chose to err on the side of caution. "The less I have to do with Darl McBride, the better off I am... I don't want for that 'Darlness' to rub off on me."
Saw this story yesterday on ABCNEWS.com, Study: Sleep Essential for Creative Thinking, Sharper Memories. The thing I didn't understand was, didn't we already know this before? Students who sleep more tend to get better grades, students who sleep less, don't? But remember, as anyone who has taken an elementary logic or stats course, the first thing they teach you is: causation != correlation. For example, in the above instance, it could be that students who sleep less are from poorer families, and have to work more (read: jobs), thereby getting less sleep, while people who get more sleep are from more wealthy families, etc. I'd be interested in seeing the real study data instead of just a news article. Here's a paragraph from the ABCNEWS article that I thought was interesting:
History is dotted with incidents where artists and scientists have awakened to make their most notable contributions after long periods of frustration. For example, that's how Russian chemist Dmitri Mendeleev established the periodic table of elements and British poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge wrote his epic "Kubla Khan."
IANAL, but it should be legal. The problem is, there are literally millions of sites linking thw word SCO to http://www.sco.com. A linking campaign to link SCO to litigiousbastards.com would have to overcome all that momentum, and that would take a very large campaign indeed.
At SCO Countdown, I have a countdown to SCO's self imposed deadline for suing a Linux end user (I doubt that a Novell lawsuit can be counted as a end user suit), so remember, SCO has to file another lawsuit in 28 days or it misses it's deadline. In addition, after that litigious bastards campaign that was started on/. a few days ago, I acquired that domain and threw up a quick page.
Seriously though, if the US or Russia ever went up against China (Like in Tom Clancy's The Bear And The Dragon ), we might have to resort to a tactical nuke or something, the Chinese army is HUGE..
"My telephone number is or email". Nice to know SCO's crack defense team proofreads their extortion letters.
No, no, you forgot a word. It should be:

As long as I can use it against people who cut the cheese, it's good with me ;-)
It looks too utilitarian. I hope they get some people working on interface design.

Finally, UW Madison gets mentioned for something useful, unlike this story.
I hate you.

That or not enough people are linking to SCO. Hmm, I hadn't thought about that. Perhaps I should fire off an email to Google's support line....
It's not binding at all, it just hurts their PR image if they don't follow what they say they will do.
Remember everybody, gotta link! litigious bastards.

As seen in this

Nope, just a Good Samaritan helping SCO along the way to its bankruptcy :-)
;-P
Psst, you wanna know the truth? I wanna buy a SCO mug and other SCO branded stuff at their bankruptcy auction...

Remember, link link link!
Write your own?
Just wanted to let you know I acquired www.litigiousbastards.com (apparently someone else took .org) and I threw up a quick page.
When do we get to play it?
So did the Russian Army during WW2 (See Call Of Duty, it's a nice WW2 sim, or the Wikipedia entries for WW2, Stalin, and The Great Patriotic War).
Seriously though, if the US or Russia ever went up against China (Like in Tom Clancy's The Bear And The Dragon ), we might have to resort to a tactical nuke or something, the Chinese army is HUGE..
I bet ten years from now, a guy thats good at Stocker(TM) will be a shoe-in at West Point!"
You mean Stalker, right?
[sarcasm]Yeah, she's a babe all right, Babe the pig, that is.
DUPE DUPE DUPE.
What agency do you work for? Not trying to be snide or anything, just curious.
Who are these companies, and what are the projects? We can at least shame them...
I tried to read the patent, then I gave up... it was completely unintelligible.
For N64, screw GoldenEye. Get The World Is Not Enough.
Same James Bond franchise, better game.
