I went to a average school (Cal State University, Chico), and got average grades. (3.0 average).
Although I do agree with most of your comment, as far as CS is concerned, I would hardly call Chico 'average'. The only two things Chico is known for are: 1.) Huge partys 2.) Their awsome CS program.
"KOffice is a light-weight yet feature rich office solution and provides a variety of filters to interoperate with other popular office suites such as OpenOffice.org and Microsoft Office."
They just used MikeRoweSoft in a sentence!!! Sue, them!! Sue, them!! Quickly!!
I probably wouldn't even be a g33k now if it wern't for the vic 20. Ahhhh, programming crappy shooter games in BASIC on my T.V., wouldn't have been 1981 without it!
We have set up an IRC server which is not joined to an external network, it is perfect for small meetings, we installed nickserv, chanserv, etc. to police accounts and nicks, we could have made it truely private by restricting logons to only trusted users, however, we did not do that. The setup really wasn't that difficult, go check it out for yourself. irc.supertux.com:7000
Oh No, the poor music industry, how will they survive? Will Lars get the gold plated pool now? Will Britney have to downsize learjets? Ahhhhh, the agony!
I am surprized the markings were on the film at all, they imprinted dots on Kill Bill when it was released in order to track pirates. However, the copy floating all over the net does not have the dots (workprint maybe)? Either way,

Who is going to enforce this?? This idiot governor just gave california drivers licenses to illegal aliens, ruined our states economy and is (hopefully) getting recalled in a few weeks. With any luck much of his legislation will be recalled as well.
What part of by the people, of the people, and for the people did this asshole not get?
AHHHHHHHHH, sorry... just a frustrated californian here.
If they (read --> government) didn't call it "cyber" this and "cyber" that, then we wouldn't know they were dumb government agents. Kinda like when the DEA raids drug houses, they wear thoose nice black jackets with "DEA" in bright yellow on the back, that way the drug dealers have something to aim their guns at without having to worry about shooting any other drug dealers or friends.
Thanks government... without you, I'd have nothing to be pissed at all day!
P2P is here to stay until a suitable replacement is found!
Much like the RIAA and MPAA wish you didn't copy cassette tapes and VHS tapes in the 80's and 90's. And, let's not forget the RIAA attempting to stop used record stores not so long ago.
In the end the will of the people will survive, and people want to share with eachother, they always have. RIAA, MPAA, doesn't matter, people have traded (shared) files in the past, and they will do so in the future, reguardless of the laws.
Just think, how many of you slashdotters have ignored the FBI warning on a VHS tape in your lifetime?
Federal law provides severe civil and criminal penalties for the unauthorized reproduction, distribution or exhibition of copyrighted material, with penalties of up to five years in prison and/or a $250,000 fine.
Ahhhhh, considering the cost, lack of trained mechanics, and not yet mature technology in the hybrid market... Why not just buy a geo metro? They get 50+ MPG and they are less then half the price of a hybrid, not to mention, they run forever and the insurance + license fees (I live in california so fees are a big deal) are cheap as well.
approach 3 requires special shared disk system. the database implementation is very complex. the kernel writers have to worry about two computers simultaneously accessing disks or overwriting each others data etc. this is the thing that Oracle is pushing across all platforms and IBM is pushing for its mainframes.
I recently attended an Oracle Convention, and the one thing everyone (except Oracle) will admit about RAC is that it is very difficult to implement and very very expensive. Of the many vendors, the cheapest RAC solution I came across was in the $30,000 to $50,000 range (scaleable turn-key solution - price does not include Oracle license fees). Most of the reps I spoke with said unless you are a huge enterprise with lots of cash to blow, RAC is NOT the way to go.
A squad of jack-booted men in black with RIAA badges just came to my dorm room and 'Disinfected' my computer (msblaster virus they said). The university gave me my network acess back, but KaZaa dosen't work anymore and all my mp3's are gone? Any idea what might have happened?
RIAA == giant psuedo monoloply, trying to screw the public one lawsuit at a time!
CD's more expensive then cassette's NOT EQUAL to common sense.
if ya don't like the CD price, do indeed buy the cassette
Buying music from an industry that sues their own customer base, attempts to bankrupt college students, attempts to scare regular everyday people, and wants to make INFRINGEMENT into a CRIMINAL offence!!! NOT EQUAL to common sense.
Boycott the industry into oblivion. Power to the people!

Does this mean I am going to have to adjust the frequency of my Kaptain Krunch whisle when I use the pay phone?
Yep... the day just wouldn't be the same without a SCO story, to bad it didn't show up in the morning with my coffee.
Ahhh crap, your right (as I daydream of sex in my cubicle).
I love technology, what else could have turned a programmer into a p0rn*
