Actually, what taught me to spell "definitely" was registering a domain name with the word "definitely" in it to point to a server a friend and I were setting up.
Enough ssh user@definitely... and www.definitely... and you'll learn how to spell it pretty quickly.
I'm talking about no piracy protection on almost all of their software, in addition to all of their operating system upgrades, which if Apple really didn't care if you paid for or not, they would offer as a free download.
One of the cool things about Apple is that it really hasn't put any serious piracy protection on its software. It basically trusts its users, and so there's nothing like the Windows Activation deal...
Yah, 29 is a pretty ridiculously small test sample. It doesn't seem nearly high enough to be statistically significant. Also, did the "trustees" know if the "investors" had been given oxytocin? Their confidence in the oxytocin could have easily affected their ability to convince.
The "guard them as you would your cash" idea sounds good and is good to a certain extent, however, when someone has stolen your cash, you can generally tell it's gone. A password can be stolen without anything being missing.
I don't understand why oil is used in a comparison for the amount of energy saved. AFAIK oil is not a major source of energy for lighting. I understand it to be used more for heating and gasoline. The use of the figure 10,000 barrels a day sounds like political spin to make it sound like a solution to the oil crisis, which it isn't.
...but in order to remove the DRM flag, you would have to interrupt the process between the time iTunes downloads the song and the time iTunes adds the DRM, and if you could do that you could just as easily simply not add the DRM, as this program does. Once iTunes has noticed the flag and added the DRM, it's too late to remove that flag.
Why can't Apple offer both DRM and DRM-free music on the iTunes Music Store? There are plenty of artists on the site that are independent from the RIAA. Apple should give those artists a choice to offer their music DRM-free...
Making a distinction between which songs are offered with DRM and without DRM and could show the music industry that DRM-free music will bring in a larger profit, if that is true.
Another key difference between cable TV and WiFi is that sharing it detracts from what you have... Your bandwidth will go down while they are using it, whereas with cable TV, you lose virtually nothing by sharing it (except that there may be a slight signal strength loss).
I don't think any digital music provider has music from The Beatles, at least not AFAIK... That whole legal dispute between Apple Records and Apple Computer is keeping them out of the iTunes Music Store. Maybe, because of that, they're avoiding online music distribution altogether?
Does this still apply to the cancelling of the internet service? If so, I should think they'd realize you knew you were freeloading when you cancelled the service...
And yet scholars are still struggling to comprehend how such a rational thinker -- the man who gave us three laws of motion, the law of universal gravitation and so much more -- could have simultaneously immersed himself so deeply in arcane matters.
I'll bet theories like gravity were considered arcane at the time as well.
In a situation where 'it's him or me', surely one cannot be blamed for choosing 'me'?
That would be the epitome of selfishness, which was pretty reprehensible last time I checked.
Ugh. For the Nth time, you can't use a Palm on an exam
Exactly. I looked at that EasyCalc, too, and it doesn't seem to be able to derive or integrate (like my ti89). I could be wrong though...
That's definitely true... My old cd player would always go in the same order if it started with song 8: 8...15...9...14...3...12...

Yah, actually, I think it looks like they really recreated the comic book pictures really well... That costume in the alley trash can as he walks away in the rain is a really good recreation of the drawing in the comic books... (Amazing Spiderman #50, pg 8, if anyone cares)
that guy from Pepsi.
John Sculley, who subsequently joined Apple, kicked out Steve Jobs and let Bill Gates use Mac features in Windows 1.0.
Change the world, he did.:(
Actually, if you have it the full size of the screen, it automatically resizes itself to make room for the drawer, although this might have been a new addition in this version...
Actually, they've previously able to detect earthquakes years in advance, but only within broad ranges of time. The prediction of them months in advance is actually an increase in accuracy rather than an increase in foresight.
It's called a Family Pack... $200 for up to 5... (and that's w/o the academic discount)... That supercomputer is one big family, aint it? ("Big" being quite an understatement.)
My iBook (and I assume all Apple laptops) have an Energy Saver Preference Pane where you can control when the computer is put to sleep, when it dims and turns off the screen, processor performance, and if it spins the hard drive down during periods of inactivity or not. It has different settings for battery and power adapter modes, but you can set it to run in the same low power modes when it is on the power adapter.
I have the Jansport Lap Station. I believe they have a new model called the PC Port or something like that, but it's basically the same thing. I recommend it because it is very well-made, durable, and has a bunch of useful compartments. I also like it because it doesn't really look like it has a laptop inside, which is a good thing. I got mine on sale for $80 a couple of years ago... Good luck!

That was my thought too, which is why I asked... Is there any way to see the contract?

Too bad 70-80% of the people on this site are cheapskates who really only use linux because it's free.

You helped him out. The original had no apostrophe in "couldnt".
