But what if the items that he found were valid attempts at disinformation by the military? He could be compromising sensitive military operations. Probably not, but...
Simply incorrect. None of they are owed respect by default.
Now mind you, you had better treat the police officer with civil behavior, because most states have laws allowing them to areast you if you do not.
Teachers can not
actually teach, they can only present material. If the kids do not want to
learn, then they will not. Your attitude
teaches your child to be a selfish prick that needs to be spoon fed. Have you
actually taught in a classroom setting in the last decade? I have.
Huh? What the hell
are they being paid for? Teaching is the
presentation of information and materials in such a way that the student is
able to assimilate and retain it. If a
teacher is incapable of performing this task, they need to get a different
job. As to my attitude, it implies that
I intend for my child to be a well educated and useful member of society.
Ah, now that I have reached the end of your paragraph, I see
the light. You were a teacher, and feel
that the children should sit down, shut up, and not bother the teacher. Yeah, I'm fairly selfish in my desires too.
Kids need to
respect thier teachers. Kids need to do the work. And parents have to back up
the schools in making the children accountable for what they do and don't do.
If you feel that a teacher is only doing a mediocre job, then explain your
concerns privately either to the school administrators or the teacher. If
necessary, teach your kids what you feel they are missing in school. Don't tear
down the teacher in front of your kids, that will only do the teacher and your
kids a disservice.
You say that children need to respect their teachers. Fine.
Earn it. As to the kids doing the
work, they need to become proficient at the materials. Doing work just to do work, or because that's
the way we do it, is simply a cop-out by some educators. Oh, and as for the teaching my children what
I think they are missing at school, I do.
Sometimes before the classroom teacher gets to a subject. Having a teacher threaten to flunk a child
for not using tally marks for basic math when my child could do it in his head
was the last straw.
I agree that students need to be responsible, but it is a
two way street. The teachers need to be
responsible also.
Home schooling and and private schooling are always options. Taxes pay for
more than just schools and it is good that you should be responsible for more
than just your own children. And as a society, we do have the right to tell you
how to raise your children. It is not just the family that raises the children,
but the whole village.
<pa feedback>
Testing, testing. This thing on? Uhmm, fuck the
village. Thank you.

Besides, it is more
likely the parents undermining the schoold system.
Parents come in bitching about little Sally getting an F even though she did no
work. If parents backed up schools, then we would have better kids in society.
Instead, we have parents teaching kids not to respect authority.
If by undermining the school system you include demanding my
child's teachers actually work to educate their students rather than simply
lecturing them out of a book, I'm guilty as charged. Also, if by teaching kids not to respect
authority you mean teaching my children not to simply swallow what the teacher
spews and take it as gospel, I am guily
of that charge also.
There is a time to question authority, but that time is not when you should be
learning to read and write.
When is it then? When
they've dropped out? How about when
they're in prison? Ooooh,
I know. When they're
standing in the soup line carrying their worldly goods under in their arms.
The stewardess reminds me that there will be no meals serve on todays flight, the microgravitysickness bags are in the seatback in front of me, it will be 20 minutes until orbiter seperation, and that if I touch her like that again, she will handcuff me to my seat, and have me escorted off by Federal Marshalls after landing.;)
Actually Senators and Representatives are supposed to look out for the welfare of the nation by looking out for the welfare of their constituents. Many seem to simply look out for those that will offer the best paying positions when they either retire, or are voted out of office.
Speaking of Senator Hatch... He is up for reelection in 2006. Could the kind people of Utah please do me a favor, and vote him out of office? Thanks!
I do not believe that they are using the term "clean" to refer to well formatted and well documented code. I believe that they are refering to the amount of machine instructions needed to perform a task. Windows does a lot of things under the covers that use CPU resource that have nothing to do with what the soldiers need done. Every time electrons flow through the little tiny transistors to do work, they are using power. The fewer times you do that to perform a task, the longer your batteries will last.
This leaves out idiotic things like putting harddrives in the uniforms.;)
I wonder if the OP even knows what causes knots in wood. Here's a hint... Branches.
Now, sarcasm aside, the biggest difference in lumber today and lumber 70-100 years ago is the type of trees. Most of the lumber today IS from fast growing trees, but the knots are due to the fact the the fast growing pines and furs used for a lot of the lumber also have a large number of branches, that appear early in the trees growth. Therefore you have knots. Breed a fast growing tree that does not have the large number of early growth branches, and Weyrhauser and a few other companies will pay you a fortune.
Huh? Small children are robots that parrot what they hear? Righhht.;) Sure they are.;) You just keep telling yourself that. Apparently they are devoid of the ability to use reasoning and logic, and therefore can not be taught that the word they heard is inappropriate for them to use.
My god, I cuss like a sailor. Actually worse. My children do not run around spouting obscenities, so I guess I had better get their hearing checked.
p.s. Umm, by the new standards, is my subject line indecent or profane? Both?
Check into Aspergers syndrome. First thing you do is throw out the crap that deals with how to make him like the others,or how to "CURE" him, and then concentrate on how to deal with the BS of others. You probably don't want to make him neurotypical, just give him the skills to get by. Why ruin a wonderful mind with all the manipulative crap that the average person, read as the idiots you see on reality TV, enjoy?
Well, for a lot of people it seems that if the tyrant is not being tyranical towards them, or if they personaly benefit from the tyrany, "it's all good."
Look up "Project Thor", I think it was called, before the Thor satelittes were sent up. It also had the nickname "Rods of god" and "Rods from god". Mid 1960's as I remember.
As a friend of mine was always fond of saying, "Pioneers are the guys coming out if the woods with arrows in their backs. Settlers are the one going into the woods with axes in their hands." Munich is a pioneer. They will get the sharp end of the stick, right in the face. In a few years, hopefully, Tokyo, Paris, Berlin, New York, and others get a hand up by grabbing hold of the stick created by Munich. After cities come states and provinces. Then nations. It doesn't have to be Linux, but it will most likely be something open source.
"To prevent rampant disputing, the campaign officials and watchdogs will face stiff fines if they dispute a vote, and the recount is not in their favour. Similarily, if the recount differs signifigantly from the original count, the official counters will face punishment."
Huh? So if I feel that there may have been some form of fraud, but cannot prove it, and wish to have the results rechecked, I will face punitive retribution (i.e. a fine) for wishing to make sure that the system has not been tampered with? Cool, only the rich can dispute the elections.
As to your second point, who faces punishment? The original counters? Is this done with no proof of where the possible fraud occured? The assumption is that since there is a discrepency the original counters are the criminals?
"Hey Tony, I was dicking around down at the courthouse that was built in the 1930's and found a way to sneak into the official store room. Lets go stuff the ballot box for our precinct, call a recount, and get old man Thompson sent to jail. HAHAHAHAHAHAH"
Yep, they do. I have found them myself in coal from a power plant stockpile yard. They were fern like leaf impressions. I also found "coal dollars" which are flattened disks of iron pyrite.
Lots of neat stuff, but now a'days they wont let people do that any more.
If this was placed in a large city, you would have to somehow partition the power grid into small pieces.
I say ?!?!?!?!?!
What are you talking about? Partitioning the power grid to put another generation source online? Since when?
Last I had seen, about 15 years ago, you simply brought your altenator as close to phase as you can with the grid, connect into the grid, and let the feedback force you that last tiny bit into phase with it. TADA. You are now a generation node on the grid. As such you now have more headaches and resposibilities than you most likely want.;)
Hmmm. Let's see. Who pays for the telephone service at my household?... Why, I do! Now according to you I should not be upset when someone else uses my money in the form of the service I am paying for to "inconvenience" me "every so often", usually >5 times daily not counting the messages on my answering machine, which I also paid for, so they can earn a living.
Besides, I WOULD prefer someone be on welfare than be a telemarketer. If they are talented enough to be one of them, they can probably hold down other employment, so I'm not terribly worried.
I wonder if the want them. I know I have an August 1994 Walnut Creek CD set. I might even have my old Yggdrasil Plug and Play CD and floppy somewhere. God, but I've been playing with this stuff way too long.;)
But what if the items that he found were valid attempts at disinformation by the military? He could be compromising sensitive military operations. Probably not, but...
Oops, that should read None of them...

Never underestimate the bandwith of a minivan. The latency sucks, but the bandwith rules. (How many DVD's can you fit in a Dodge Grand Caravan?...)

Well, the problem here is the first post said Constitution Party and you said Constitutionalist Party.
Constitution Party != Constitutionalist Party
Do a little googling on the two.

Excuse me, but what do you mean city boundries? The local constabulatory need to know you aren't from OUT of town you know.

Don't use the "N" word. It scares people. It's just MRI, got it. ;)

I'd rather chew off my leg than give Verisign a penny to be a cash cow to spammers as a trusted mail host cert vending machine.
