Something like fluxbox would be a lot better I would think. My laptop runs fluxbox just fine, can play movies/etc, and it's a 500mhz 686 with 64mb ram. Not sure if the difference between archetectures would make much of a difference. Now, if I try to run KDE on my laptop it grinds to a halt. However, my laptop doesn't have the hardware accelerated graphics and memory that the game cube does. AFAIK, the project mentioned in the post has not exploited the graphics hardware to it's fullest potential, but if they get that running it will be a lot smoother.

He may be confusing running KDE or Gnome with running X. I use fluxbox on my aging laptop and have no problems. Try to runing KDE and the laptop will just sit there churning the hard drive because of lack of memory.

The alien gunner at the end of the last episode was not a bounty hunter. The words from his controller were something like "Neutralize target to study later," so I'm subscribing to the theory that the weapon simply put them into some sort of suspended animation (ala the time John was supposed to be married to that princess and was turned into a statue, only more advanced).

Anyway, both of them are in the trailers, so they aren't dead.

Exactly. Certifications are pretty much the same anywhere. It makes no sense to leave the country to get one, UNLESS the asker wants to go to New Delhi anyway. I don't think the fact that it was recieved in a foreign country will add any weight to the certification. And if the poster is used to jumping around the world, I doubt he'd be asking Slashdot if he should be making this trip or not.

I guess the question is if you want to go to New Delhi or not. And if you want to pay a lot more money than if you went on vacation...

Thinking about it, if I were a potential employer and you came to me and said: "I got my MSCE (or whatever) cert in New Delhi," the first thing I'd ask you is "Why?"

I can't see a defendable position for that question. 1) You'll be studying the same material that you would be studing in a program in your own country. 2) You could have studied on your own and saved money. 3) You just wasted a lot of money by taking a course in ANOTHER country.

Perhaps the reason that the Dems are getting lawyer'd up is that they feel (as do a lot of Americans) that the Republicans stole the last election? I fail to see how that paints liberals in a bad light.
