McBride: In our case, Linux comes from Unix and we own the Unix operating system. How this plays out with other code bases, I don't know.
I really don't know either. Something about Linux stealing 'unix source code', then about stealing 'libraries source code'. Linux comes from Unix? Since when? Is the idea of a posix operating system IP? It isn't to my knowledge.
I think it's pretty obvious what's going on. SCO is spiraling down, and in an attempt to get some business back, they're trying to portray using Linux as illegal. Unless their lawyers are complete idiots, they realize suing RedHat would result in a) them losing b) RedHat not having any money to give them even if they won.
Although this is just stupid, I have a question. Who will pay for the extra bandwidth used? Surely it will take up a good bit. If Cisco was using it for their own profit it would be quite easy to sue them. I would think even the government would have a hard time getting legal permission to do this if it brought a loss of revenue for the ISPs.
There is some video option (that adds all the blurryness) that slows down the game a lot. It doesn't even make it look better. Just turn it off. The PS2 might have spare processor time for nothing, but my PC doesn't.
I've found a lot of companies are issuing rebates through rebateshq.com now. I've had pretty good luck with them. On one rebate, they insisted I had sent the wrong upc, but I insisted otherwise, and they sent the check anyway.
Now you can get atomic clock precision on your computer too! Much like the 'atomic clock accuracy on a pendulum clock' seen on/., the atomic clock on your computer is "set" by using the ntp protocol. Wow!
Haha! Yeah, like IE going to the "IE Update Site" almost half the times I start it.
Not on mozilla
Is Zombo.com really supposed to be that boring, or was it slashdotted?
Ballmer seems to use Linux and Unix interchangeably. (Unix doesn't have a command line?)
Member countries of the European Union accept US patents
Their server runs on Linux. No dice :(
Which Europe do you live in? Certainly not the one on Earth.
That's in binary. Right?
I think you are mistaking
sweating for general outrage.
By the way, you don't need
to do manual returns.
How can we do that? SCO obviously wrote all that software and we stole it.
God licensed SCO's software when creating the universe. We don't own anything. It's all theirs. In fact, we're theirs too!

Cisco sells 91% of all routers. If you've ever worked in an isp, you'd realize Cisco is definitely a monopoly.
Then again, in the RIAA age anything is possible.
Another case why monopolies are bad.

That could be kind of interesting.. UPS Dodge Vipers flying down the highway trying to catch up ;)
As opposed to what, exactly? I don't have any indestructible objects laying around.

That would be about as popular as shareware.
I think I am going to move to the Netherlands soon. The only laws the US seems to be missing are laws prohibiting stupid laws!
Microsoft must have paid Carmack to make all the ports besides Xbox painfully slow. That must be why the Doom III Alpha ran at 20fps on my geforce 4..
By the way, civilised is spelled wrong. ;\

I have to wonder - how smart is it to alienate the next generations of business and industry leaders?
