I basically got it because I would often miss texts and calls coming from my iPhone because I tend to leave it on vibrate. I sometimes don't feel it going off in my pocket and if it is in my coat or bag I won't get the message until way to late. I see posts out there that tend to be pretty contemptuous along the lines of "Oh poor hipster, it's just too damned difficult to get your phone out...", and honestly yes...yes it is if you don't carry the phone in your friggin' pocket. The key here is the simplicity of the display. The watch itself is a little clunky and complex and the button arrangement takes some getting use to. The display however is pretty clean and simple, and the watch does not try to do any aside from be another way to get basic info to your eyeballs.

A lot of them will provide the page and give you direct URL and provide the local client software to stream the feed to the web page. You get one for your computer, your wife gets one for the home PC. You watch their page and they watch yours. All of this is designed to run full time as long as the PC is on, can be set to start at boot up, will save your settings and logon info etc. That way you have an always on solution. Since drives are still limited to about 1-2 TB in size I would think this issue is years off. When drives are 12 TB then there will be issues.

One of the recurring issues I've seen in American attitudes towards offshoring and immigrants smacks largely of racism and racial superiority. A lot of people, sadly, seem to have a sense of entitlement, a sense that they deserve the jobs or have somehow earned them through no action whatsoever. You know..I see this argument a lot about America entitlement to jobs...and here is what I have to say. If someone wants to come to this country and become a citizen and pay taxes, let them. Let them become part of our economy and culture. Diversity can only help us. Where I have a problem is when
a company that exists in America whose success rests mainly on the largess of the infrastructure that *MY* tax dollars maintain; then yeah, I do feel Americans are entitled to jobs from that company. Many large corporations in the US rely on major tax breaks from the gov. This means that my taxes make up the difference. In short while you may think I am not entitled to *jobs* , I don't think someone in India is entitled to *my tax dollars*, because to some extent this is what happens when a company outsources. Think about that next time you trot out the argument that "Americans are entitled". Given that our taxes help drive and maintain many of the economic giants in our country can you blame us if we would like to keep the jobs that those companies generate?

One day I might be talking to several department managers and V.P.s about how to go about rolling out a global messaging system, and the next I am explaining to a user how to open an attachment. The problem is that the article does not seem to differentiate between any of these roles and just simplifies it to "IT guys". What exactly do you suggest they do? With congress' new bankruptcy laws it is unlikely people like this can throw caution to the wind and make a big change to their life style and career without becoming homeless. I count myself lucky that I have no major responsibilities and that if I had to leave tech, I could go be poor and not worry about a mortgage , or putting food on the table for a family, keeping a house , etc. Many of those families are dual income and cannot afford the loss of income while one earner goes back to school.
