So, how much has NASA's budget declined from when the shuttle was retired? Some, but not a lot. They used to be able to launch at least something with their budget, at the moment they can't launch anything and not even pay for the development of a new system. I wonder where all the money is going.

Very nice, but I'd rather see a reduction in cost per watt than an increase in efficiency. It's not like there isn't enough space for for solar cells. Most of the deserts are rather empty. Only if the price per watt drops significantly will we see these things filling up deserts.
Burt Rutan didn't go into orbit, he got up to 100 kms. I would really like to see him getting into a real orbit, however he wil surely need a very large amount of money and very skilled engineers. Getting into space is just very hard.

You don't know what you are talking about, the pentagon eats away more of your tax payers money in one (1 !!) week than NASA does in an entire year. Do you feel your money is better spend at the pentagon than at the NASA ? At least at the NASA you get nice museums and exibitions, the pentagon rarely shows what they do with your money!

I have a friend who installs a new OS every other week because he gets 'bored' with the one he has. What a waste of time!

Vtrain runs perfectly in Wine, so even linux users can use it.
Mplayer has a plugin for mozilla, I use it and it works just fine
