Hmm I found a small RFID starter kit online for 399.00 includes reader, 10 discs and 10 cards.
Maybe Ill grab it and play around with uses around the house for it.
Sounds good....thats something I had thought about...However he is in a wheelchair a bunch....Dont know how easy that would work out for him...Im gonna talk to him tommorow afternoon and see if he thinks he could use any of these.
Thanks,
Gavin
Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I wondered about a trackball myself....I think a touchpad might work but I dont know how much pressure he can put with his fingers to move it/click...Ill definetly look into these.
Thanks,
Gavin
Ahh well I had one tell me that if my new MX700 broke Id "just have to deal with the manufacturer" so I declined.....Keep in mind Im on the phone with a customer of mine at the time...she keeps going....I decline once more....and then its "well its your fault when you want us to help" and I simply walked off.
I have a little square plastic container with tabs inside to keep them inside that came with my digital camera... I imagine you could find something similar at a electronics store or in Ritz Camera etc.....

Ya I would consider fixing it up and donating it to a local church. Maybe use some of those spare parts lying around to get everything working and just offer it to a church or a family that cannot afford a new computer. I gave a 66mhz away to a family that could not afford a computer after installing linux on it, and it got written off my taxes:D.

I think you mis understood me....Im worried that Linux overall will become this way, not as much one device...just the fact that corporations might influence it too much
Im concerned with major corporations developing it, we're gonna get back to the point where one program will only run on such and such version...and the fact that companies might try to sell it if they could...

Looks like we are gonna have to start calling the male end the pointy end. and the female end the holy end. I think this is ridicoulous.
If you are really concerned Id buy a nice router/firewall combo, that you can enable keyword blocking on.
Depending on price, yes I would buy a piece of google as long as it wasnt too expensive.
