hehe..if u wanna see whether it performs better than phantom, you've gotta wait for BOTH to come out!! Then compare the two.;)
Leaving that adide, the concept is very original. It'll be interesting how things turn up. I just hope its not another vapourware product though it 'sounds' very much like one (ie, very ambitious concept and not proven in the market before). Its a high risk, high return project. Lets see what happens.
Well, maybe they're getting easier.
When I played old rpgs like The Bards Tale or Ultima,I had to draw maps manually which was probably the hardest part but also most exciting.Nowadays, maps are a common feature in rpgs.Sure, it does save us a lot of pain but the challenge and excitement of mapping is being missed.
In terms of difficulty of the games these days, I dont really see much of a difference. Some games like rpgs, fps are a lot easier whereas other genres like adventure, strategy are quite tough.
these days they have diffulty settings wherein you can tweak the settings (ie easy, normal or hard). It started with Wolf3d if I remember. Before that it,all games were of default difficulty.
Exactly!
I cant imagine Id (or Valve in the case of Halflife 2) not making their games suitable for other graphics cards. I dont think there'll be any difference in the performance.
Its a pure marketing ploy to generate revenues especially when the competition between Id and Valve is so intense now. Thats the only option they have and they will play that option. The other options though very much feasible(like making the game suitable for most graphic cards) wont even be considered because they wont make that much money and its too much time to invest effort in that. These are the days where time is as important as the game itself. Id and Valve have already delayed their game and cant afford to delay any further.
I find underground games fun to play. They're really really good at times and stories are worth comparing with the commercial counterparts.
Its like Indie films competiting the hollywood biggies.Same thing goes for underground games. I wish a lot more of these games are released.Heck, even text based adventure games are so fun to play.Lot of imagination and stuff.
Welcome to the company.
But its hard to beat this....I havent even received even a Valentine greeting !:(((( Atleast I'd expect my own PC/laptop to greet me on V day. *Sigh*
Perhaps, we'll see for the first time the President screwing the first lady in Hot Date, on the love bed with the nude patch. :P

Imho, the WORSE best picture winner and the crappiest movie i've seen.I'd give credit to Winslet for that nudie scene though. :P
