Yes, you can get insurance for loss of business income. It is called things like Credit Default Swaps and Monoline Insurance. The inability of the insurance companies to pay out the claims for these is a major part of the problem we are facing at the moment.
It is a chain reaction. Lehman Brother's goes bust. AIG, who insured a lot of Lehman's debts goes bust. People who have debts insured by AIG go bust because they can no longer rely on AIG to pay out. People who insured AIG's debt go bust, and so on. This didn't happen because the US government poured vast sums of money into AIG to prevent it happening.
Iceland had a similar situation, except that the Icelandic government couldn't afford to bail anyone out, so the whole thing did collapse.
If Icelanders can come up with an alternative to Navision, they won't just be selling it to locals, they will be selling it around the world, and that will make a big difference to Microsoft's bottom line.

There is a 2GB limit for some devices - if they don't Support SHDC and/or they don't support FAT32, but generally speaking, anything that takes an 8GB chip should take a 16GB chip.
The database itself isn't illegal. What's illegal is not telling the subjects of its existence, not giving them the opportunity to have information contained in it corrected, and some of the recruitment decisions made on the basis of it.

Most likely, another company will start up in another part of the country doing the same thing, and in 15 years time, it will get fined £5000.
Of course construction companies are not hiring in significant numbers at the moment anyway, so maybe they will wait a few years before this new company is set up.
If you want to play DirectX games, you are probably best using Boot Camp, or finding a native version of the game. Neither Parallels nor VMWare will reliably support anything later than DirectX 8, most recent games, certainly anything where performance is an issue, requires DirectX 9.
I use Parallels to run MS Access and Visio - there is no native versions of either of these for Mac, and a few accounting programs that are Windows only.

The operating system I am using at the moment is based on 1970s Unix technology. Yes, it is much more advanced that anything that was available in the 1970s, but all the inventions contained in 1970s Unix are still present in my system.
GnuCash is in the personal finance / micro-business category.

If you want a printed licence for your free software, you go to http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl.html and press Ctrl-P.

Will OmniGraffle allow me to work on other people's Visio files? From the feature chart, it appears probably not.
I use Access for things where Excel can't really cope, but setting up a proper database system would be overkill, and take far too long.
