    Your vote counts. The industry will only listen to your votes. How to vote is simple. It's a free market. Vote wisely and the industry has no choice but to follow the money or die.

    No, they simply take it as: "Sales are down? Teh evil pirates are stealing from us! Otherwise, the sheeple would be buying a hundred zillion copies of that new single by some vapid ProTools-engineered boyband that we assembled last month. They shouldn't be allowed to use the Interwebs without restrictions. Hurry, let's buy some legislation to protect out dying business model!"

    Apple used to include a bunch of software, especially games. My old PowerMac 6500 came with Marathon 2, Mechwarrior 2, and Al Unser Jr. Arcade Racing; my G3 iMac came with Otto Matic and Deimos Rising; both came with AppleWorks, and a lot of other interesting stuff.

    These days, you get... iLife and Front Row.

    most devs using Cocoa are shipping Universal Binary (ies) already (that's anecdotal based upon what I've seen - I don't have an actual reference for that)

    In contrast, it seems game developers have been using Cider quite a bit lately. This makes porting from Windows much easier, but the games will be Intel-only.

    Could as well be a solid diamond . Or they could just write "Super" on it, that'd work too.The important thing is to replace the Windows key with something non-OS-specific. Any other ideas?

    The thing about Gimp is not the things it can do, but how hard it is to do things. The interface is fugly and confusing.

    In my mind, Zenwalk is, hands-down, a better distro. ... Running Zenwalk makes Ubuntu feel like Windows... it really *is* that much zippier.

    For a fairer comparison, I suppose you could give Xubuntu a try.

    Yeah, I knew of that. And they also cancelled the Dreamcast version -- AFTER it was completed! But that one was eventually leaked.
