I just upgraded to 9.22... a REAL Mac OS... not one of those phonies with unix underwear...
)Oh come on. "Classic" Mac OS had the nicest interface back then -- still better than OSX in some aspects, actually -- but any app crash would bring the whole thing down.
successful doesn't mean good. Look at Microsoft. They've been stupidly successful up until recently, but did that mean they have a good product/have great programmers??
So, are you implying that... St. Anger was Metallica's Vista?:P
But they did a pretty cool unplugged album... Oh wait, that's a bootleg. Then indeed, they didn't (oficially) release anything decent after the black album.
Joe six-pack, when presented with a wide-screen format on a standard TV, thinks the black bars above and below the image indicate a problem and then complain.
I think Innerspace was the first widescreen VHS I ever saw. It even had a notice before the movie, explaining that this was decided by the producer. Even so, I recall later reading the reader's mail of a film magazine... some paranoid dolt believed the video company was trying to hide that it was a "defective" transfer.
Reminds me of how puzzled my brother-in-law was when he saw me playing Ikaruga with the TV turned to the side; I explained, it's because the arcade used a vertical monitor, so I had to rotate the TV, or have black bars on the side. And he said they shouldn't have released the home port until they had "fixed" it for full screen. Of course, anyone who has ever played this game can realize that it'd ruin it!
It's very snappy for me. What's your configuration? Remember, when it comes to RAM, the more the merrier. If your machine is a low-end one, try Slax or even Damn Small Linux.
Well, I recall it *did* happen to me. I bought my comp used, maybe the seller configured something differently? Anyway, I didn't keep Vista for long, soon wiped to XP for a while, then wiped that and installed a hacked Mac OS X.
What MS is trying to do is actually the right thing. MS wants to make it access privileges more like Linux. It wants to make it so that random programs can't run a muck with admin privileges.
I've played with Linux a bit, and no distro ever asked me to confirm after I try to change the friggin' wallpaper!
That machine should be able to handle "classic" games like Pac-Man and Donkey Kong without breaking a sweat, but any arcade game that ran on hardware more recent than Neo-Geo will likely stutter to the point of unplayability.
You can emulate the Neo Geo pretty well on a Sega Dreamcast, which has a 200MHz processor. I'd assume you can do a lot more with a machine that uses a 1600MHz one.
who would want to work with an accused child molester? It's not fair, but humans will behave like humans and not always give someone the benefit of a doubt.
Those humans back in the roman empire would not have batted an eye about it.
What was that saying again... "Quick, cheap, good. Choose two."
"Hi, I'm a Mac."
"And I'm a PC."
"And I'm Guybrush Threepwood, a mighty pirate!"
(unfair comparison... Vista wasn't THAT bad)
If their new album is as awful as St. Anger, I wouldn't listen to it unless they paid me to.
But they did a pretty cool unplugged album... Oh wait, that's a bootleg. Then indeed, they didn't (oficially) release anything decent after the black album.
I did try to find an alternative to iTunes, open source or just freeware, but I couldn't find anything as easy to use and feature-complete.
You must be new here.

So, how to get full consistency... LaTeX editors, maybe?

...Skynet?

Well, links in BBCode are a bit easier and quicker to write than HTML.
See?! It's a sign... get Linux! =P
Given enough time, the failure rate for any kind of device is 100%.
...I prefer 2D games.
