In a real dirty environment an AK is much more reliable than an AR15/M16. The AR is definately better when clean, but the AK is jam proof. For fighting in the jungle or other bad place I'd take an AK.
Optometrists still have business. All eyes normally degrade with age, requiring you to get reading glasses. Everyone needs reading glasses when they are old.
What is wrong with corporations having an incentive to make profit? That is what they are there for.
Companies have no incentive to support free speech, the 1st Amendment doesn't apply to them. If you don't like what cable companies do then don't use them. Don't try to impose your will on others.
Federalism doesn't mean giving all power to the federal government as the name federalism may suggest. It means splitting powers between the state and federal governments.
That anonymous coward wasn't me. Your arrogance in implied by the way you list all the things you avoid like gas money. You flaunt that you are able to avoid all these headaches when you know that most people cannot.
You obviously live in a big city, the only place where a life like this is possible. Get off your moral high horse and try this in a suburban or rural place.
Except that sending everything wirelessly between your parts would be as slow as hell. There is a lot of data flowing between RAM and CPU, way too fast to be sufficently carried by wirelss. A wireless video card would also be slow.
In the United States if you have something that is later declared illegal the government has to let you keep it. They can only stop the new manufacture of things, they can't take your things away. This principle is called post ex facto or something similar.
WTF. Tons of people would care about having Photoshop on linux. I bet you 90% of professional graphic designers prefer Photoshop over the GIMP. Sorry but the GIMP does NOT compare to Photoshop.
Yeah, make the gas stations dim their lights, which will lead to customers being able to drive off without paying more easily. This will raise gas prices for you, which won't make you happy.
This is California, not the whole US. For instance not too long ago the South Carolina Attorney General declared a "hunting season" on burglars, encouraging armed citizens to defend their homes from intruders.
Yes indeed, the courts do in fact have the power to strike down unjust or even unpopular laws.
Actually they only have the power to strike down unconstitutional laws, not those which are merely unpopular. You may not like the DMCA, but if it is constitutional, the courts can't do anything about it.
Yeah if the US gets in a war with China or someone else and we need to use B-2's to help win the war and protect our soil, citizens, and the rights of citizens, a cable modem is hickville will really do a lot of good.
This just makes me laugh. You're probably someone who is concerned with saving the environment, as you would rather have solar power than find more petroleum. Yet you want to roll the stuff across acres of the desert or the ocean. Do you know what this would do to the environment?
This would totally mess things up. Ocean temperature would go down since sunlight would be blocked. A change in temperature would kill lots of innocent fishies. You may think "oh it's just the desert nothing lives there" but there is quite a lot of wildlife in the desert. Your plan hurts the environment just as much as burning fossil fuels, if not more.

Satellites are used now for strategic reconnaissance, since the cameras on them are so advanced. Drones are used for tactical reconnaissance.

No, interlunar, the moon isn't a planet. ;)
I thought it came from Vice President Al Gore, because he invented problem solving, by using Al-Gore-ithms. This was before he invented the internet.
Except that Ashcroft doesn't support National IDs.

You must be a really lazy bastard.

You mean Freudian, as Froyd never existed. Well maybe some guy named Froyd but not THE Freud.

Of course, there are exceptions: imagine an ad-sponsored GPS system. Or weather satellites with the equivalent of pop-up windows.
I'd rather see ads on a free commercial product than have the government spend 4 times the amount of money with MY tax money to do the same thing.

We signed the ABM treaty with the Soviet Union. That country no longer exists. Treaty null and void.
The consumer has a right to demand that things work.
The consumer also has a right to take their business elsewhere.

It's just like the Urban Assault Vehicle from the movie Stripes with Bill Murray. The main difference being that that was an RV and this is a truck.

I thought everyone secretly picks their nose. :)
